true. after all, we are talking about the greatest player ever to pick up a basketball.

Not before Blackman, Richmond, Henson, or Nealy.
Give it some time man. He only played one year.

The criteria is AA and POY. Hansbrough is still playing and they are hanging his jersey.

Hasbro isn't coming back next year is he?? They probably want to wait to get an decision from Beasley as to what he's going to do.

Beasley does not have one of the 6 major awards, does he? Still deserves it, but Hanblow got his jersey hung when he got Sporting News Award. It was also a ploy to get him the rest of the awards w/ some publicity.

He also played for 3 years at UNC. They announced that they will hang Hansbrough's jersey already because they are hoping to add one more thing that will sway the award voting at the end of the season. Otherwise, they would have made the announcement next season.
Also, each school has different cirteria for hanging numbers in the rafters. K-State started doing this only a few years ago. They have not added anything for players in who were program makers in the eighties, so why would they rush to do so for a guy who only played one season in Manhattan, regardless of how great he was in that one season? All four of the guys I listed were leaders on elight eight teams. Three of them played for four years. Three of them are in the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. Two of them were all americans. All of them spent years in the NBA.
That the women's team has Ohlde and Wecker up there, especially so soon, is a joke. To K-State fans who have been around for a while, putting Beasley's jersey up there before some of the other greats in K-State history would be disrespectful to those who came before him. He deserves to have his Jersey up there, but not yet.
