I was just catching Bruce Heartl and Bob Lutz this morning and they say that you have become pretty tight with Webb and his dad. Here's to hoping you don't let any personal bias flow through to your work. You've proven to be a pretty good journalist and a hard worker, but the world of journalism can be such a sordid business.

ScubaSteve = Ron Prince.

Where is your father, Scuba Sam?

Actually, it's his grandfather, the former mayor of Denver. We were put in touch with each other through a mutual friend - Greg Moore, the editor of the Denver Post. Is that what you mean by sordid? People using their connections? Ridiculous.
I'm a professional, Steve. Personal bias never enters into the equation. But when one party is willing to talk and another isn't, it becomes rather difficult to not come off as biased.

Jeff, any chance you can get Jeff "Goody" Goodman to post here?
-
Would you like that? I'll tell him to stop by some time and chat.
-
Of course. He can laugh at us when we try to tell him he is wrong regarding Mayo. :)

I'm glad you are a professional. I'm not saying that you have published anything to this point to show otherwise. There is personal bias in the media all of the time for all kinds of reasons. Tell me that's not so. Heck, personal bias comes into articles for petty reasons or even spite. It doesn't even take a personal friendship. I was just wondering what road you were headed down with your "only comment not rooted in facts" post earlier.
You have done a remarkable job to this point, especially in light of what we have gotten used to from the KSU beat writers of years past for the Eagle.
