Title: Most Dangerous Team in Big 12 Tourney:
Post by: Jesus Shuttlesworth on March 10, 2008, 10:22:07 AM
Nebraska.

Beat KSU, OU, & A&M, and lost by 4 at Texas all in the last 6 games.  The Huskers were knocked on their asses at the start of conference play due to playing ku twice by the first 2 weeks of the conference season.  They have since gotten better throughout the season.

NU will beat MU easily setting up an upset shot at ku.  Don't be surprised if our semifinal foe is the Cornhuskers instead of the Jayhawks.

Nebraska on their best day can stay within 20.  They get stomped at their place and make up for it by getting stomped worse at AFH.  ku is in their heads.

By most dangerous team, I assume you mean "dark horse". In that case it's either KSU or Baylor.

Otherwise, Texas and Kansas are still playing the best basketball in the league.

That said... there was a time during the season that K-State was playing at the same or even higher level than the level that those two teams are playing now. If K-State builds off of these last two wins, and takes their play another step up, they will be really hard to beat on a neutral court.

Is there anyway we can ship in officials from the Missouri Valley Conference? Bill Walker wants to know.

WE are the most dangerous team... IF we play at a high level of intensity (hard to feel confident that we will, but if we do)

Okie St.?
won 5 of last 7 against Baylor, A&M, ku, MU, & Neb.  Gave Texas a nice run as well.  They should beat Tech and then we'll see.  Maybe a switch from Bourbon to Gin for Sutton?

I agree, if there is one team(besides us) that i can see making some noise it is OSU. Mostly because they have underachieved all year with the talent they have. It's gonna be fun to see what Self can do with that talent next year.....
