Title: Big XII Bigs vs ACC Bigs
Post by: ERA7777 on March 07, 2008, 10:44:27 AM
For Argument sake of Beasley's competition vs Hansbrough's.  We'll include just those that get significant playing time.

So here are potential NBA bigs from the Big XII (minus KSU):
Arthur
Jackson
James?
Jordan
Jones
Rogers
Griffin
Longar?
Maric
Lyons?

Feel free to add/subtract from this list.

Now what does the list of potential NBA big men from the ACC (minus UNC) look like?
Is the competition even comparable?

The Big XII is a way better conference.  The ACC's second best team, Duke, has no inside game whatsoever.  And everyone else in the conference is a joke.

Big 12 > ACC in all ways, especially the big men competition.

It makes me happy that no matter how much we hate each other we can join forces to do God's work!  :shy:

I know I'm probably gonna get slammed for this but Richard Roby of CU has been playing primarily the 4 position this year under Bzdelik. I think that he could dominate against a no-inside team like Puke. And yes, when it comes to bashing the ACC, we're all in this together.

You can remove the ? from Damion James'. There is no doubt he plays in the League.

The only other critique - Leo Lyons? Ain't happenin'
