Title: Isn't this the same guy
Post by: fatty fat fat on July 17, 2006, 03:35:57 PM
that didn't put Beasley, or any of our recruits in his top 10?

 :jerkoff:

Yeah, leading scorer, rebounder....and 7th in minutes. I'm starting to believe EVERYONE is out to get us.

You're just getting a small taste of what Cincy fans had to put up with for over a decade.

Pretty ridiculous to blanket a kid's character after "observing" him for a few minutes from a "distance".

Yeah, we don't like all he says and he points out flaws in Beasley's game, namely his attitude.

However, Davis has written 4 articles (national) in July, mostly about next year's high school SRs, and 3 have mentioned Huggins, K-State, and potential K-State recruits Beasley, Mayo, Walker, Pope, and Blair.

That ain't all bad is it?

All he said is "...character well exceeded his considerable talent.  Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can say the same thing about Kansas State-bound forward Michael Beasley. (Beasley, a rising high school senior, ended up being the team's leading scorer, but he has since parted ways with Oak Hill Academy and is looking for a new school.)"

I understand this to mean that the author feels that nothing, nothing, can well exceed his basketball talent.  "But he also said 'Unfortunately,'" you say?  He's just disappointed that Beasley was able to max-out both of his scales (character and talent)!

In all seriousness, what a nasty remark.  Last time I checked, Beasley was 17 years old.  What'd he do to make this guy think so little of his character?  Insult someone else's character?  Wait...  Our 2007 recruiting class is going to be described by many different adjectives, and soft is not one of them.  Given the reputation of our basketball program in recent years, I guess I'm not upset about that.  These guys aren't going to back down from anybody.

It's obvious the problem lies with the writer. He's  tired of the poop! His whole article sounded tired and uninspired. This is just one mans tired opinion. Rest assured though KSU is pulling in recruits the should have went to perenial powers on the East coast preferably! The sports writers will  learn to adjust. :dancin: :dancin:

I guess I would be interested in knowing WHY he is making a smack on the guy's character...

That's bad writing.
