...if you intend on watching the NCAA tounament in much of Kansas.
WIBW no longer on Cox? (http://www.cjonline.com/stories/022708/loc_251512027.shtml)
I can attest that in Manhattan via antenna the WIBW signal is fantastic.

I'm planning on watching the important games at a bar where they have satellite. The other games, i'll watch online.
-
Thankfully I have DirecTV at home and won't have to worry about it.
Also, I might have an eye problem. I can't see myself going into work for the opening round games ;)
-
I'm fully prepared to go to Direct TV or Dish Network if necessary

Cox HD is unaffected, only the analog ch. 12.
-
Therefore, Kaufmann said, even if WIBW goes dark on Channel 12, those Cox customers whose subscription includes the HDTV digital tier will still be able to see the local CBS affiliate's programming, including the NCAA Tournament to which CBS Sports has the broadcasting rights.

well, WIBW-TV just said on Raubin and Megan 580 WIBW AM, that they believe that all CBS would come off Cox.

Analog it's channel 13. Channel 12 is what it is on on the cable system.

That's really odd. Why would they have different agreements?

It's called cable, check it out sometime.

Switched to DirectTV 12 years ago and never went back.
But somebody should really start a thread about which is better: DirectTV or Dish.
-
Just switch to channel 10 on your cable dumbasses
KCTV 5 out of KC is a CBS affiliate and was only blacked out when WIBW told cox they didnt want double broadcast.

Which will still be the case.

COX plans on making KCTV its primary CBS affiliate
-
I heard on "The Game" that KCTV out of Kansas City will still work in the Manhattan area because we are technically out of the Topeka viewing area. They can't black it out here.
-
KCTV 5 MARCH MADNESS ..
problem solved.
-
Not that it matters since I am not at home, but in Salina KWCH(ch 12) and WIBW(ch 13) on analog both are CBS

They've threatened to block KCTV but can't. Even if they could I still have WIBW HD Channel 620 which they cannot touch so I'm good to go.
