Title: Mouthful of jalapenos?
Post by: chum1 on February 06, 2008, 10:36:51 AM
Good?  Or bad?  What are the pros and cons?

Pros: none that I can think of.  They have nutritional value to them, so I guess for sustinence?

cons: It will be spicy, and burn a bit. If you eat them, your ass will be on fire in a matter of hours.

Dude, jalapenos taste awesome.  As soon as you finish one, you want another.

A key thing that is being overlooked is the freshness of the jalapenos.  Fresh jalapenos taste like cat vomit made of regular cat vomit and fire.  Pickled jalapeno slices can be eaten like potato chips if potato chips were made out of delicious pickled jalapenos.

Definitely about pickled.  I was actually going to clarify that, but just forgot.

not a big fan of the pickled.  ok on tortas, but in general i get v. disappointed when given a bowl of pickled instead of a salsa.

Lies!

The biggest scam in Mexican history.  Spanish (eggs) are welcome, but Mexican tortas are to american sandwiches as taco bell is to mexican tacos.

My favorite Latin sandwich?  Arepas.  Go to Venezuela, gorge yourself.

Mexican street burgers are FAN-tastic, but only after midnight.  Taco stands, opposite approach.  The earlier the better.  Anything before 10 in the morning is guaranteed fantastic, afternoon you should know the place, dinner?  Only with a guide and at night?  Only after 2.

I vote great.  Before every KATPAK'r I make all the attendees eat a mouthful of jala's.  SOP.

Pros- taste great, probably will impress friends, will impress senioritas, nutritional value
Cons- somewhat hot, sure fire prescription for ass-gravy thus negating any nutritional value gained

i'm afraid it is now on.  spanish tortillas suck unwashed dick.  bland, dry, oily pieces of crap.  oth, torta de pierna = heaven.  other tortas are good too.  in short, the mexican torta is the complete opposite of unwashed dick

i love arepas.  but i know them as colombian and not a sandwich.  given the spanish/mexican torta/tortilla issue, i fear we have another case of two foods, one name.  one good, the other unwashed dick.

Mexican street burgers are FAN-tastic, but only after midnight.  Taco stands, opposite approach.  The earlier the better.  Anything before 10 in the morning is guaranteed fantastic, afternoon you should know the place, dinner?  Only with a guide and at night?  Only after 2.

mexican street burgers are hugely overrated.  hugely!  they'd be mexico's most overrated food if it weren't for the people trying to pass off bacon wrapped hotdogs as something other than unwashed dick.

tacos = good 24/7.  al pastor, ftw.

btw, i couldn't get you the pirate dvds.  sorry.

I LOL @ Bran-eaters.  I'm like "Why don't you just eat Mexican food?  Like, everyday?"

I never have trouble with the terrible 2's fwiw.

the spanish tortilla i had was like pie made out of eggs and grilled potato, a little onion/pepper, sometimes with a red pepper aioli on top

These people know eggs.  Juevos Rancheros is the Mexican answer.  Breakfast burritos are not the only thing the Latinos have to offer.  Never, ever let anyone you associate with and treasure think that.

May I also humbly suggest a well seasoned and appropriately dressed chorizo.

Neutral.
Pros - Some jalapenos are quite good.
Cons - Anyone who knows peppers will recognize you for the pvssy you are immediately.

Real pepper fans eat:

I ate 204 baja chalupas from Taco Bell in 2003.  Not an exaggeration.  Thanks, Varsity Gold Card!

Chicken or Beef?

Had to go beef.  The price differential, while slight, adds up over time when you get into triple digits.

1 baja, 1 supreme gordita used to be the way I would to at T-Bell. I haven't eaten there in awhile though. Heard too many stories about their meat. I'd rather have Chipotle.

Fact:  Chipotle just isn't as good as it once was.

Because you're no longer working there...? Or because you did work there?

Fact: Chipotle still greater than T-Bell... even though Chipotle is fairly overrated.
