His instant messenger away message said, im sick of playing basketball here, i came her to play not ride on the pine, i coulda gone to any acc or big 12 school to play and i thought i would play so i came here.. there is a lot more, i will copy paste it later.

wtf?  This kid has played 4 games?  Jesus &@#% these kids all think they are owed something just for showing up.  Guess what--Bill Walker wasn't really all that until the past couple of games, and he's had about 5x as much game experience as Sutton by now.

Yeah, but Sutton needs to play more now, because we'll need him down the stretch.
Why couldn't he have played during "mop-up" duty at CU?

Hopefully we see more of 'nique tomorrow, the guy is just fun to watch.

Very strange.  All indications are that he will end up playing a ton of minutes in the future.  He f'ed up on his end in the classroom, got here late, and now he complains about not playing?  LOL.  He may be "The Man" next year, and has a decent shot at contributing big time by season's end.  Patience son, patience.

He only played 6 mins! WTF! He should be playing more then that. Merriewether play 9, i can see why he's pissed, I would be too. Hopefully CM was just trying to prove a point.

He would be playing the same minutes at any decent program in the country.  Only way he gets more if he's at some program with absolutely no talent.

He would get more playing time if he appeared to have any clue on the offensive end. He got in against CU and then got yelled at on the court by walker about where he was supposed to be, then a timeout occurred (I can't remember if we called it or if it was on the floor) and then out of the timeout DS wasn't in the lineup.   Sutton does a nice job on defense and if he wasn't a mental liability on offense he'd get a more minutes.

I'm confused!  :confused:  About 2 weeks ago I think it was Brad Underwood was on 810 talking about Suttons progressioin.  He said he was at about a 6 offensively and at about a 4 defensively.  So which is it?  Is he a liability on the offesive end or has he regressed?

Probably like this; top of the 3-2, he's fine.  Individual man to man, again fine.  Knowing rotations, switches, help principles in our man scheme, probably behind.  Since we play man a lot, that's probably the reason for the 4.  And I didn't hear that, to hear he's a 6 on offense is actually pretty good.  I think he'll be fine, just frustrated and has an outlet.

Playing good man-to-man defense takes time.  Much harder to learn than zones.  (which is why he is the point in the 3-2 most of the time.

Dear Mr Sutton I understand your beef but you have to realize you made a decision to come and play at mid season you could have easily sat out and played next year. your defense and energy will be needed by seasons end.right now the team is doing well and winning personally I think fred brown has more to complain about he busted his ass aff all year and started producing and he hasnt seen the court since. if we was losing we might have pity for you guys but we are winning and playing with alot of energy now so the old saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it sorry. keep trying hard and you will reap the reward soon enough.

Not really sure what he thought wold happen when he showed up to play at the end of December. He's several months behind the rest of the guys and the pud developmental games are pretty much over now.   He's going to be a good player but he needs to show some patience you could kind of tell he was going to be high maintenance based on some of the comments he was making in the papers before he showed up.

Same guy that said Hoskins was out indefinitely before anybody had heard anything...of course he claimed it was a staph infection and also said Stew would be gone for a month with his hamstring injury.

Based on what I see, I think Sutton should be starting over Gilbert in another two weeks.  Sutton has the athletic ability and effort that warrants starting for this team.  Right now, he still needs to work out the kinks in knowing the system on both ends.  But for him to only be averaging 11.5 minutes is pretty sad.  He's the kind of player that should be averaging, at an absolute minimum, 15-20 minutes a game right now and then 25-35 in another couple more weeks.  Merriewether getting more minutes than him in any game is beyond ridiculous.  Sutton puts out as much effort as anyone when he's on the court and he adds extreme athleticism to the lineup.  He is outstanding on the defensive end, he rebounds well and is a great slasher on the offensive end and he can make free throws.  His upside is tremendous.  He is a very important piece to the puzzle if this team wants to make a run in the NCAAs and will be a key player in keeping the program up where it is after Beasley and Walker leave.

In two weeks, I hope to see the starting lineup look like this:

Pullen
Young
Sutton
Walker
Beasley

Just checked Wefer's IM away message.  He says he's not happy in Manhattan.  Says the weather sucks, always squirrels in his lawn and stupid photographers from the Collegian taking pictures of them.  Goes on to say that he has been intentionally f-ing things up at KSU lately just to "make those suckers pay for what they've done to me" on his way out of town.  There's much more.  Will copy and paste later...

Barb Roebel's away im said she hates the greek system on campus and the FIJIs are always wet rushing.  Said the SAE's did not have enough designated drivers for Paddy Murphy and their alternative food and beverage ran out way too early.  She said she hates sororities because all the girls are pretty and thin.  She wants to be a mortgage broker.

Until you fell 40 spots in all of the recruiting polls because you weren't going to qualify.  And he'll be starting in no time.  This is just ridiculous.
