DOUG GOTTLIEB.

DOUG GOTTLIEB.
I can agree with that, other than Phil Rivers, but what did he say?

If you're going to throw out NFL quarterbacks, it doesn't get douchier than Ryan Leaf. But, back to the topic, what did Gottlieb say now?
-
Doug's been singing our praises on the radio. And if you ever get a chance to hear him with Soren on 810, it's pretty good. He's a member of the Orange County Jewish Athlete Hall of Fame and now wants Soren to call him HOF'er Doug Gottlieb.
-
Gottlieb is pretty good.
-
He kept saying that we'd lost to ku 26 straight times at home. What a dumbass.
-
Pretty sure he referred ku's streak in Bramlage as the mose "remarkable" streak in college bball......at least on 4 different accounts during the game.
-
did gottleib play sports at the college level?
what a douche... typical "i've got to say something off to draw attention to myself" announcer
oj mayo or hansbrough get 26 and 9 in a half... and all of sportscenter is devoted to them
:cyclist:

You mean "Psycho-T" that's his new nickname apparently- :jerkoff:
-
Gottlieb was my very favorite college BB commentator...then he wore a Burberry tie tonight. I'm torn.
did gottleib play sports at the college level?
Yeah, he was a pretty good point guard at Okie St. for Eddie Sutton. You would remember him if we hadn't been so crappy when he played.

This board has become overrun with FPs.

You need to express that feeling with some kind of really crapty MS Paint drawing because you really suck at using words.
-
Gottleeb is a douche. and yes, I know I spelled it wrong on purpose. He sucks. Armstrong is retarded or gay. Maybe both.

yeah gottleib was a gunner at notre dame, putting up pretty good stats scoring wise. He transferred to OSU and had some sort of revelation and turned into a pass only pg. teams would sluff off of him like teams do when merriwether has the ball. He still racked up the assists. Great PG, imho.
-
"If you take away Bill and Mike this team wouldn't be very good."
Really?
Really?
You just blew my mind.

Did you kinda give up on basketball after this "blackman era?"

I like Gottlieb. When we played OSU last year he was an anti-homer.
-
Gottlieb was the asshat who had his shorts put on backwards for a ku game, and had to change them around while on the court after the first timeout since he was being taunted so mercilessly by the squawk fans.
Douche is a pretty good description for him.

What a complete F'ing a-hole. It takes a complete sonofabitch to put their shorts on backwards! :curse:
Yeah, I still like him.
-
I like Gottlieb. From what I could hear (it was tough over the rowdy crowd at Kites), he did a nice job propping the Cats for the most part. The "media insecurity" of KSU fans is mind-boggling at times.
-
I don't mind Gottlieb, but he does kind of suck at commentating. I didn't know what half the calls were in the second half because he was babbling on about something worthless. Very annoying IMHO.
-
I liked his props giving towards Mike's shoes
-
Did you know that he got kicked out of Notre Dame his freshman year for stealing credit cards? He later set the (then) big XII record for assists in a career. Just some little factoids for purple friends. Check out the big brain on burger.

did gottleib play sports at the college level?
He was the only point guard I ever saw a team play a sagging defense on. He'd be at the top of the key and the opponents defender would be in the paint. Opponents had NO respect for his shot.

The sagging man on that Holloway kid from KS that played at ISU was much worse. He was coached not to shoot.

gottlieb is the best bball analyst out there IMO.
he was an excellent PG on some very good OSU teams although he had no athletic ability and couldn't throw it in the ocean from the beach.
he made some excellent points last night like when he talked about the cultural differences between players at Air Force and CU, which I would have never thought about.

He's not good when he makes his color analysis an extension of his radio show. (yesterday's game)

I love ESPNU broadcasts. Post-game interviews are awesome, and the picture quality is excellent (see screenshot)

Yep.
And the only bad thing about when Gottlieb does games is that Joe D Ambrogio (or whatever) does his show and its horrible. Gottlieb is good radio. Different style, but Kietz-ish IMO.

ESPNU Sportscenter is awesome, too. I love the small conference highlights, and highlights of every Big XII game.

QFT, I used to hate Sundays without ESPNU in the morning. The last college game got over 5 hours ago and yet all you get is NFL for entire sportscenter. Sportscenter U is  even if you have to slop through the gynerhoops and lacrosse scores.

I liked his props giving towards Mike's shoes
Yeah I was curious why they were zooming in on his Jordan's. What'd he say?

He talked about what edition of Jordans those were (steve dave LSIQ) and about the nice purple accents. Noted the other Cat players that had them and how cool they were. Then mentioned one CU player had the same pair but they weren't as impressive. Also mentioned Pullen shouldn't wear them because they are to high or big or something for him.

sadly I have a hsiq, most Jordans are clunky/heavy, which doesn't really suit point guards. Being a little nit-picky, but Pullen has been playing his best when he's had his black Nike Lebron Soldiers on.

Gotlieb is by far my favorite color guy.
-

With stellar credentials like that - you'd think Gay U would have been all over his sack.
-
Gotlieb is by far my favorite color guy.
Denzel Washington is my favorite colored guy.
-
1) Ref Guy
2) Doug Gotlieb
3) Hockey Jersey Guy
4) Fat guy that sits between 1 and 3
5) Receiver gloves guy
-
i like gottleib.
-
I admit he seems to know his stuff. But I still don't like him as a whole. He has his moments, but they are few.
He was slobbering all over the Eric Gordon and the Big 10.

Eric Gordon is a great college player. so ....
And he was ripping the bottom of the Big 10 saying it's as bad as it has ever been

Agree with Fan that our fanbase is very insecure.
