Yes.  One actually caused me to do the gagging motion to my wife.  ("Fool's Gold?")

One made my wife cry (the one where Van Wilder is Little Miss Sunshine's Dad).

Rest were meh.

there is a trailer for it.

I have read several reviews for the movie and have heard nothing but incredible things.

those who have seen it say Daniel Day Lewis turns in one of the best performances of this century. I think that was from the KC Star.

It won't be coming for a bit, but the reason why it is out in select theatres is because of its hopes of getting oscar noms and awards, which it will.

I am extremely excited about this movie. The cinematography is supposedly extraordinary. There a few reviews of it online, you just have to look.

thanks asava, but my opinion means nothing to me.  i'm more concerned with what everyone else here thinks.

haven't seen it, but i would watch ddl watch paint dry, fwiw.

I saw it this past weekend.  DDL was all you would expect.  Cinematography was good.  Story was not that great...there was really only one character I cared anything about, and at times in its nearly 3-hour runtime, it was indeed about like watching paint dry.  Story reminded me in some ways of the Aviator, only less interesting.

I saw it, too, and I pretty much agree with Javert.  I looked at my watch a couple of times, but Daniel Day Lewis was superb.  One thing to keep in mind is that the title does not specify an amount.

I saw it tonight and overall I would have to say it was a very good movie.  It does get very long but the characters overall are pretty solid.  It's not a movie to go to if you want lots of in your face action.  Those of you that have seen it, is there any significance to the bowling pin being used to kill the preacher?  I feel there may have been something, but I couldn't figure it out.

That movie was awful. I think if I saw it again, I may like it. But I was expecting a totally different film.

Less interesting than The Aviator? Is that even possible?
