They are claiming it's a sprain. I say MCL. He looks too bummed on the sideline for it to really be a sprain.

They say it's not a torn ACL.

they won't know until they get an mri, they're just guessing based on how the knee moves.  which is pretty inaccurate right after the injury due to swelling.

Im gonna say sprained MCL...i did that once and it looked like thats what he had.

Not a serious injury but you will be limping severely for a day or two

OU wins this game w/griffin.

OU wins this game w/neutral refs; they homered ku to a double digit lead, backed off to even and let OU creep back in, them homered ku another ten-ish.  Griffin's injury is also on the refs who called touch fouls on the Sooners while letting the squawks bang and (in the case of B.Griffin's injury) undercut the Sooners.

ku's talented, but also sloppy. If they face a team that can play solid defense and can get physical, ku will be in trouble.
Still, I see 12-14 wins for ku in the Big 12, because they will out-talent every team they face. Then they'll lose in the Tournament because they'll play a team that will lock them down and punch them in the mouth.

We played in Norman (ku won by.....2 last year in norman)

We played vs a top 5 pick in the 2008 draft.

Pretty simple.

The other game without Blake Griffin, at home, and a ku employee officiating the game

Nicely this moves us past OU quite a bit in the standings and could put us into the top 5 in the Big 12 easier than if OU was strong.

They are incredible without Griffin and with an official fellating Self every chance he gets.  Think of how many times you yelled at the officials when you played SIU and UCLA last year when in actuality those officials were calling it fair.  That's what it's like for every other team.

I predict next year that if a player jumps and then lands wrong and hurts himself that the nearest player to him is instantly banned from college basketball.  This kind of senceless violence has gone on long enough.

This is was my first thought exactly.  OU w/o Griffin=OU last year, who was, not good.  In about 2 seconds, we just got one of our two quality wins taken away.  Well, at least we got to enjoy it for two days.  Indian burial ground curse, nothing to see here.

OU='s below 500 in league without Griffen.  So much for our quality road win.  Even if it's not an ACL I'll bet he's out a month or more which is more then enough time to put a team without depth into the tank.

We picked a bad year to have our most talented team in 20 years.  This is the best ku team I've seen at least since the mid to late 90's and I"m not sure this team isn't better then those teams.  I'm starting to think this is just ku's year in sports.  Got every break under the sun in football minimal injuries schedule lined up perfectly etc.  Same thing is happening in bball every major non con opponent was down this year.  Hell ku actually had an injury (Rush) that helped their team signifigantly how often does that happen?

how many pts does Beasley get vs. ku?  Their defense looked pretty good. I'd be happy with a skinny double double (12-10)

Beasley will likely score the big goose egg, since ku will destroy his knee (and career along with it) the moment play begins.  Durant went down ... Griffin went down ... Beasley is next.  Poor kitties.
