Are there any good cheap drum sets out there that come with cymbals? I'm looking for a really cheap set (under $500) just to dick around on and thought you might have an idea... I've checked out some on Musician's Friend and I'll probably hit up Manhattan Pawn to see what they have, fwiw.

Wildcat Pawn over by La Fiesta usually has a lot of instruments. I think I remember some kid banging on a drum set and annoying everyone last time I was in there.

Did you try Wal-mart? LOL
but seriously...cheap and good don't go together when you are talking about drumming. A 'decent' splash cymbal seriously costs 150-250 dollars. One cymbal and I'm talking paiste, not zildjan.
I think you might be able to get a decent five piece set with no cymbals for 500. Something mid-range like Tama or Yamaha drums from Musicians Friend. I would definitely recommend you check out the Musicians Friend clearance store up here in KC if you are coming up anytime soon. They have 6-8 drum kits set up in a room for you to ding around on and get a feel. Most of the stuff in there is 25% off since it is mostly returns from people who found a dig in a case, or some other minor blemish. If you can handle something like this, then you can easily get away with spending less money.
I'd also point out that the whole clearance center has a billion guitars in there. It's pretty awesome to play with a gibson I can't afford. :) they also sell some new items--but those are things that are obsolete from 2007.
HTH

Wal-mart isn't out of the question. You don't realize how cheap I'm willing to go.
I assume this one is pretty crappy:

I'll definitely check out the store in KC. I've been there before and it's a pretty good time.
Thanks man.

If you are really willing to go that cheap, then go for it, I won't hold you back. But the first time you hit the crash and it sounds like a tin shed roof, don't look at me. LOL :violin:
Just out of curiousity, why so cheap? Don't you have 10 guitars? Sure you have paid more then 300 for a single guitar. I don't understand.

Any word on where to find a good deal on a trumpet/baratone/frenchhorn/tuba/souzaphone? Those are the "cool" enstuments(sp?) that steve dave can play :excited:

Of all the members of "Zac Attack" Slater was probably the weakest. Lisa was probably the strongest on vocals but FFF didn't like her because she was black. You got a cross burning to attend later FFF? :curse:

So cheap because it's more of a buying on a whim thing. I don't play the drums. I'd just like to have something cheap to dick around on.
