Title: Harper
Post by: ksufan101 on January 02, 2008, 10:01:15 PM
My goodness guys, let the guy go to another school! Who cares? He isnt a quarterback in the first place. I've seen him play many times, he should play reciever, dback, or linebacker. Let the kid go, he is not that good, stars dont mean crap! If he thinks he can play quarterback, let him go to oregon and sit on the bench until he realizes he isnt a quarterback! Bash if you want, but i know that the kid isnt that good.

I've heard the same thing from people who have watched him play qb but again he would have two years to develop under freeman.

Yeah i would die to have a dual threat once again. Who knows maybe Harper just isn't our guy.  I'm not losing sleep over it

Personally, I'd rather see him come to that realization at K-State.

Not sure how this thread got here in light of Pat White last night.  Pat white is not a quarterback, won't sniff the NFL, but he has a strong arm and a system that is perfect for his abilities.

This is not to say that I think Chris Harper is the same player Pat White is.

If he comes to kstate and it doesnt work out, he will blame kstate because Franklin left and transfer. He isnt a dual threat quarterback, he can run but cannot throw. Let him go relize he isnt a quarterback, just like Rashad Washington who thought he was a runningback, then switched to safety.

Your calling me an idiot? Stars dont mean jack crap in football. Last year 4 star Chris Patterson, he is horrible. Are great players have been 2 stars like Jordy Nelson and Marcus Watts. All of our past 5 star recruits, Daniel Davis, what ever happened to him? He never played because he wasnt good. All stars do is measure the kids athleticism and their size, but it doesnt measure the kids HEART. I would rather have a 3 star recruit who worked his butt off everyday, than a 5 star who didnt work hard and had a bad additude.

My gawd, haven't you ever heard of sarcasm? :blindfold:  I'm about 110% sure he was deploying it there.  Ease off on the throttle. :curse:

This board thrives on not taking everything seriously, you're a buzzkill.

I dont even think White has a strong arm. He is just really really fast and is accurate enough to keep defenses honest. When White is healthy, WVU's offense cant be stopped. Period. I'd give my left nut for the qb run game again.

If we're so desperate to get a recruiting trophy as the highlight of our season then we need to give up on football.

Seriously though, the prima donna will leave when he doesn't get voted homecoming king anyways.  Let him wear someone elses hat on TV (omg, I got drafted by the Wildcats of Kansas State).
