Franklin landed one decent recruit in two years, most of you wanted him fired until about game 9 this season, and now his departure is an utter disaster to you.
8/10. Lol's.

I think the reaction is due to the perception that, in retrospect, the offense has been the only thing that's shown any semblance of improvement over the past couple of years. Thus, if we're losing the guy in charge of the only seeming positive (and even it wasn't that great), then how much more screwed are we next year?

QFT. That and it's just another sign that Ron can't get along with assistants (or they can't get along with him).

Low FBIQ thread.

Yeah, the jackass manner at which Bill treated his assistants was a factor in them leaving to OU; I'm sure Ron's assh*le nature coupled with his long and glorious resume will help attract other qualified assistants. yeah, BFD.

I don't care if Ron can't get along with assistants. Assistants hated working under Snyder, and we won a bunch of games...at least until enough of them got so pissed off they decided to stab us in the back.
So on second thought, maybe Ron should try to keep the assistants marginally happy. Although none of his are going to be hired en masse to go to Oklahoma anytime soon...
So on third thought, who gives a flip? Just makes this all the more entertaining. And since we're not going to be winning many games, at least we can be entertained.

Just shows you can be wildly successful and still be a dick to assistants.

Or how much you can absolutely kill the program when those assistants you were a dick to, leave. But I'm sure Brock will do a bang up job.

So successful that none of his assistants wanted to come back for the head coaching job and a man like Ron Prince got hired.

You can treat an assistant coach poorly and work them like dogs if they think it will help them in the long run. If your program is improving then assistant coaches realize if they stay a bit longer they will be in a position to obtain better jobs with their next step. That seemed to be the case when Synders coaches departed, they left for other Head coaching jobs. Does anybody really think Prince is such a geneous that his assistant coaches are going to benefit from him. I seriously doubt it, and they realize it as well. So they just leave.
I agree with another posted who also called for Weisers head. Do we really want him around to screw this hire up again? Also, does anyone have any thought on Terry Bowden? He seemed to have gotten the shaft at Auburn and he had an undefeated season there final year on probation. :ksu:

I'll LOL if we score 35 ppg next year.

Rusty, I'm back on the bandwagon. Problem is the loss of harper hurts our recruiting ranking by about 10 spots. :-[

Yes, exactly ONE former Snyder assistant was officially offered the job to come back to K-State, and that guy is the sitting headcoach at South Florida. Other than that, there were no former Snyder assistants ready to be the headcoach at K-State, and I know everyone will say Brent Venables, but it's now going on 3 years and BV is still at OU with no sign of him leaving.

It appears a few K-State fans are still in all-out denial. Just what would it take for you guys to see the writing on the wall?

When the writing on the wall stops saying ridiculously delicious one-liners like:
"Bold and Daring"
"The Power of One"
"We are K-State"
"Pickers Pick/Players Play"
"Calloused"
"FP, TC, etc..."

There were ku people who thought they saw the "handwriting on the wall" after year 3 of the Mangino regime when ku went 4-7.

The Harper battle is not over.
