my pet tarantula might die

I think they can freeze rock hard and come back to life.  I may have hallucinated that fact though.

some species can hibernate, but the one i have is from tropical rainforests of south america. i have heard that if those ones try to hibernate, they will almost always just die. she looks ok now, but is premolt and they don't handle stress well in this phase so this likely will lead to some sort of complication when she actually molts.

Mine went out sometime monday night/tuesday morning and didn't come back on until early this morning.

I know a lot of people aren't happy with Westar but those lineman did a hell of a job this week.

I was out from tuesday morning at around 6 to wednesday night around 9:30.  I think a big problem in Manhattan is the number of neighborhoods that have no access to the lines that run through backyards.  The city just seems to let people do whatever they want with the easement.  They don't need to put in cement alleys like the olds parts of town, but times like these really show that having those easements open would help out power companies, etc.  I suppose the rationale is that this is like a once a 50 years type of deal.

live on Himes Rd in Manhattan (across from the baseball diamond) we lost cable between monday night and tuesday morning lost power between 10-11 on tuesday, power back around 7 pm and cable shortly there after. directly across the street still didnt have power when i left late thursday night. so all in all i cant complain, but understand that many can.
