"I've always thought all along they should let everybody in," said K-State's new coach, "but I think it ought to be a little more like football and that there ought to be criteria for what a Division I school is.
"The minute you let everybody in, you're going to have people jump from (Division) III to I without the resources to do it right. So I think we ought to do what football does and define what a I-A football program is, or a I-A basketball program, then let everybody in."

How about we just leave it like it is. 64 or 65 is enough.

I agree.

why are they making the NCAA's bigger???? it takes away the significance of making it

I actually liked it when the NCAA Tourney was at 48 teams. The top 16 teams got a bye and the other 32 teams played in a first round death-match. When they changed it to 64 teams back in 1980 to let all the “mid-major-and-substantially-less champions” into the field I think they diluted the field badly. If they were to expand it to 128 teams, then why even have conference championships at all?

they need to reduce the # of div I schools. hell, half those small schools probably play all road games in the non-con which makes no sense. time for a I-AA b-ball division.

huggins doesn't need a larger ncaa field
