Even with all of the baggage, he’ll get a shot at running a better program sometime soon, because he may be one of the best coaches in the game right now.

When Hill decides to leave next year, would it be completely inappropriate to fire Martin and offer Hill the head coaching job to entice him to stay?

I think Hill will have too many of his AAU kids here to walk away until 3-4 years down the line.  Then again if we are stagnant success-wise, he should take the first chance he gets.

Expected 2007 Rating = 0.64 * (2006 Rating – 2006 Conference Average Rating)
Todd Bozeman (Morgan St.) +0.76

Why didn't I think of that.

Maybe it should really be:

Expected 2007 Rating = 0.64 * (2006 Rating – 2006 Conference Average Rating)-(.1 * Years Banished From Sport)
Todd Bozeman (Morgan St.) -0.04

Now that I think about it, how many years was Frank Martin banished?

Fuzzy Logic should be used in video games not in predicting a coach's performance.

Wow, I am grumpy today, must be the thought of visiting the relatives the next 3 days.

Actually, a properly applied fuzzy logic system would be an excellent way to account for the uncertainty in the many variables in predicting coaching performance.

If someone was willing to pay me a substantial salary, I'd get right on it.

Hill should not replace Martin.  He's a great recruiter but our team would just continue to play like an AAU team if he took over.

Have you ever seen an AAU team play?
