Holy crap!! Please dont be pulling my leg..........because I've been hearing stuff from the "other" board also.

That would be a great start to putting our recruiting class back on the right track!!

Freeman & Coffman > Daniel & Rucker. :frown:

Freeman and Coffman and Nelson would be pretty unstoppable.  Teams love to run cover 2 against us because of Jordy.  The way to beat cover 2 is to get your TE deep down the middle between the safety's.  We try to do it with Mastrud but he's just not the right guy for that.  Give us Coffman and he'd split cover 2 to the point teams would have to play man.  Put teams in man and Jordy would torch them.

Snyder would have made Coffman a great pass blocker.

I am sure that this is old, but since we are talking about it - here goes, Snyder actually recruited Coffman - as we all know, Coffman's dad was a Wildcat back in the day. The story goes that Snyder wanted Coffman so bad (ala Sproles) that he personally drove the Cadillac to MO to talk to "the young man" and while in the throws of the passionate, heated speach that Snyder gives to all the recruits, Coffman literally fell asleep . Ergo - Coffman attends MU and we have a Criminal, Mastrud and Pooshce, Porsche or however you spell his name. BTW, that story seems so right on, it HAS to be true.

If THAT wasn't proof to Snyder that he was "out of touch" with today's outstanding FB players- I dont know what is.

Put Coffman on this team and he would have made the difference in at least 2 of our losses.  Heck it's not totally out of the question he would have made the difference in all of them as close as they've been.  The cover 2 and our inability to attack it  has been our biggest problem on offense all year long.

I'm pretty sure it was Thomlinson that fell asleep during a meeting.

Coffman supposedly didn't commit to us because he didn't want to block for his whole career.

I thought it was Chase Daniels that fell asleep... now I am confused.  (or I just have my internet message board rumors switched)   :dunno: :dunno:

It was Coffman, I never heard that he actually fell asleep, but his meeting with snyder dropped us out of the running.

Seriously though, if we can't come up with some dline recruits we're &@#%ed next year.

I'm pretty sure LT fell asleep during a meeting during an official visit, and got sent home early.

I've heard Carson fell asleep during an in-home.

Chase didn't actually fall asleep, he was just bored to death listening to Bill talk to him.  Apparently, when Ron came in to recruit Carson, he first told Paul Coffman that if he was the coach during Chase's recruitment there'd be no way in hell he didn't come to KSU.  That sat well with Paul.

LT fell alseep on his official. He told the coach recruiting him, that he wanted to commit to KSU and when he went in to visit Snyder he fell asleep.

Man he would have been great on that 98 team

Chase Coffman made the rigth choice. That would have been the biggest waste of talent (along with Brad Smith) having him block for a TE of his caliber.

If our TE's could run, catch, and hold onto the ball they would not be blocking.

Chase would have shined in this offense.  I would bet his numbers would be even better than they are now at mu.
