Post by: catsfan20052006 on November 03, 2007, 09:03:32 PM
The Huskers are 4-6 (1-5) with wins over Nevada and Wake Forest and a loss to USC. The Huskers are on a 5 game losing streak where they've lost by an average of 26 ppg.

QB Joe Ganz completed 50% of his passes for 405 yards with 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in his first start at Kansas today. He also saw action vs. Nevada and at Texas where he combined to go 3-4 for 36 yards with a touchdown pass. He has also rushed for 38 yards (15 vs. Nevada) and had a rushing touchdown today at Kansas.

RB's Marlon Lucky and Quentin Castille have rushed for a combined 1,128 yards (4.8 yards/carry) and 10 touchdowns. Lucky had 233 yards rushing and three touchdowns vs. Nevada. He also has 512 yards on 61 catches (8.4 yards/catch) and a touchdown. He had 125 yards on 13 catches (9.6 yards/catch) in the loss to Texas A&M. Castille had 102 yards rushing vs. Oklahoma State. He also had 15 yards on 1 catch vs. Ball State.

Lucky and Castille will run behind an offensive line that has a stud in LT Carl Nicks, Jacob Hickman has taken over at LG for Andy Christensen, C Brett Byford is a full time starter, Matt Slauson has taken over at RG for Mike Huff and at RT Matt Slauson is a full time starter.

Lucky is the team's leading receiver. WR Maurice Purify is Ganz' go to guy. Purify has 412 yards on 33 catches (13 yards/catch). His biggest game came at Kansas where he had 158 yards on 7 catches (23 yards/catch). He also had 122 yards on 6 catches (20 yards/catch) vs. Ball State.

On defense the Huskers have a rebuilt defensive line. DE's Barry Turner and Zach Potter and DT's Ty Steinkuhler and Ndamukong Suh are all new starters. The LB corps is the team's strength with the return of SLB Bo Ruud, MLB Corey McKeon and WLB Steve Octavien. In the secondary Armando Murillo has taken over the LCB spot, Cortney Grixby is solid at RCB and at safety FS Tierre Green returns and Larry Asante takes over at SS.

Look, how many times do I have to say it.

It's not who wins the game, it's who loses.   The other team will just not suck AS much.

Not so fast my friend!   :nahnah:

So long as we get off the bus, we should kill Nebraska.  Their defense is literally the worst in the nation.

The entire nation.

Jordy could win it by himself.
