plain and simple.
They're "fast and aggressive" bullsh*t D isnt suited for the big 12. The front 7 are fast, but get owned by fat 315 lb lineman.
Outside of Jordy/Freeman, this team has very little talent on it.

Agreed. Watts is shot. Campbell has been out of position all year. The 3-4 has effectively eliminated the effectiveness of Rob Jackson. I can go on and on.

The 3-4 really was a bad move since we didn't have near the personnel for it. I also don't think it works that well in college football. It might at NDSU but probably won't in the Big XII. The Nub fans were right about that.
Granted, we are missing guys like Josh Moore, Antoine Moore and we might be better with Moran, but we have absolutely sucked on defense this year.

I mean, we have 1 DT on the roster now that Cline's hurt.
Seriously, Snyder &@#%ed this program right in the ass.

Seriously, Snyder fracked this program right in the ass.
Prince has had some time to at least try and address that and hasn't. So I think that blame can be shared Prince ran off the best DT that Snyder had in Moran. He recruited three DT's his first year and moved two of them to o-line. Didn't really pursure any JC DT's when it was an obvious need for us last year.

Moran was cheating, he had to leave.
You can't fix the DT situation in 2 recruiting classes.

Maybe not totally but you can address it. He's managed to recruit guys like Alesana, Liu, and Viers that have impacted the o-line. He could have done the same in the DL by throwing numbers at it like he did the o-line. Easier for a guy to come in and play right away in the DL then it is the OL but to be fair there are less talented JC DL out there to be had.
The way recruiting is going I'm just still not covinced he gets it with the DL. We just don't seem to be aggressively going after a bunch of DT's both JC and high school. We should sign 4 in this class two JC's and and two high school but I'm not optimistic that is going to happen.

The 3-4 might be a little better if we had people playing where they should be.
Campbell has played way too much as a DE the past month.
Herndon has played too much as an OLB the past month.
We have 3 viable DEs we can rotate w/o having to play Ian as a down lineman. With Herdon, Childs and Patterson rotating as the OLBs.... those 2 spots are pretty unproductive.
When the other team is in a passing situation, then bring Herndon or a 5th DB in the game.
Yes, Jackson's productivity has been hurt by playing a 3-4 but why do we want to then put our best player (Ian) as a down lineman and have them both be less productive???
