The rise of fantasy football upped my appreciation for the NFL tremendously.

The NFL is angering me because of the popularity of fantasy football amongst middle age douchebags that only care about their fantasy team.  No team loyalty anymore.  I also hate how they keep trying to integrate pop culture with it, they had Vince Vaughn on monday night football, that was dumb.  And yes, I agree with trips, too much coverage. All they have been talking about is the Colts and Patriots this week.

NHL, i'd like more if their was more coverage, and if KC had a team.  I've gotten in to our junior league team here in Topeka.  It's fun and inexpensive to go to those games.

NBA, i've been watching more and more of.  They've improved their product greatly since 10 yrs ago, imo.  Plus they have free NBA league pass this week, so i've been watching a lot of games. I root for the Pacers, but they have been on a downhill slide since Bird took over as GM so they aren't on TV as much.   :frown:

MLB, I like, but i've always liked it.  I like rooting for a crapty team, it's fun to talk crap to the Yankees fans after we beat them because we weren't supposed to.

So, to rank,

1. NFL (falling)
2. MLB
3. NBA (rising)
4. NHL

After that, I don't care.  Golf is good when you want to sleep. NASCAR, not a sport.  Boxing, don't care.  Some guy at work loves UFC and tries to talk to me about it but I don't care at all.  I find it harder to get behind a sport if I don't have a team to root for.

Uh, what should they talk about, then? Why wouldn't they hype that game an insane amount?

They could talk about how awesome their fantasy team name is, or how many points their kicker scored for them last week, or maybe they could talk about how they are dominating their "other, free league" but sucking ass in their $$$ league.

No, really, why wouldn't the Pats/Colts game get hyped a crapload?

I've heard plenty of Kobe talk over the past week.

Kevin Durant, Gilbert Arenas, and the possibility of Michael Beasley and Bill Walker playing there next year, has drawn me back into the NBA. I hate how everyone talks about how Lebron is the future of the NBA, Gilbert Arenas is more entertaining, and when he gets adjusted Kevin Durant will be more fun to watch.

I think this is the underlying reason the new NBA eligibility rule is brilliant.  You wouldn't have given a f*ck about Durant if he'd gone straight from high school (neither would I).  With a year of dazzling college ball, college fans want to know how he'll do.  More and more college fans will be following the NBA from now on.

Yea, but it's popular enough to find a game online or live.  I wish I was as good as I am now 3 years ago when everyone played and threw their money away online.  Now I gotta work at it.

I think there will be a Kevin Durant-esque player just about every year in college now.

I don't know if the NBA will ever get as good as it was when Jordon played. Maybe nobody else enjoyed it but I was a HUGE NBA fan back then. It wasn't because of Jordon though. I am a big Pacers fan and that was before the franchise turned into a huge clusterf*ck. Now I usually just watch the NBA playoffs.

1. NFL

3. NBA
4. Soccer (not MLS)

7. NHL (it's probably because I don't have a team to root for)

MLB-  I'm just one of those wierdos that can't get baseball out of my blood.  It's the greatest game in the world to me.

NCAAFB/NFL.  2 and 2)a

NBA.  It's getting better (IMO) because they seem to be trying to move the game back to the high scoring fast paced game that I grew up with.  Obviously, leagues evolve, but the slow down, 77-73 NBA game, with 100 fouls just didn't allow me to appreciate what those players can do.  I want to see Durant run and gun.

PGA.  I picked the game up about 4 years ago.  Addicting.  I'll play in any weather.  Anytime.  Anywhere.  Got a hole-in-one this year.

I have a 27% ROI at $5 :nahnah:

Unfortunately, once I moved up to $10 I had a very steep drop.  I think I was intimidated. :ohno:

Where do you all play online these days? I stopped a while ago when i emptied my account to go on vacation and then got a new computer without the password memorized.  They tried to make me call support to get it back.  Do pretty much all sites still allow American players?

25) everything else

I was into fantasy football and baseball for a few years at least, so the novelty has worn off. NHL and MLB are the only pro sports that are better than their minor league/college variations.

Full tilt for me.  I use it because that's the only one that works on mac.  They do allow Americans, along with Pokerstars and Bodog.
