Title: Kickoff Coverage
Post by: catsfan20052006 on October 28, 2007, 11:10:43 AM
The Bears gained 189 yards on nine kickoff returns. That's an average of 21 yards/return.

I don't care if he was Forrest Gump, our kick coverage has been terrible lately.

been bad all year on kickoffs I'd say.   Even our punt cover has been suspect in some games this year.

If I'm not mistaken I think Gettis returned one for a TD vs. ku.

It looked like adjustments were made.

Early, it looked like no one was containing the outside opposite the kick direction.

Got better later.

And 21 yards/return isn't all that bad.

And if our kickers would just put the ball at the goalline every kickoff that would = a start at the 21 or basically a touchback every time. that aint bad

BTW what the hell was that attempt at squibbing that turned into a onside kick that bounced 1 mile in the air??? Prince needs to stop trying bullcrap kickoffs and just boot the bastard
