I know a guy that's really skinny and his ankle turns into a tennis ball on about the same schedule.  Maybe your tendons are loose or something.

I actually do have "loose" tendens, used to be super flexible and injured tendons in my right shoulder because I was a pitcher and when my arm came forward to release the ball my shoulder tendons became frayed.  The doctor described it as similar to over stretching a rubber band when it starts to fray.

I sprained my ankle just before the ku game and still stood for the entire game...   I was hoping someone sitting around me would like nominate me for fan of the game or something.

In defense of fatness, tennis is pretty much THE WORST sport for an ankle injury:

*extreme amounts of lateral movement?  CHECK
*hard surface?  CHECK
*stop and go movement?  CHECK
*the motion for a serve could also be killer on the off-hand ankle.

Only Basketball is comparable.

No traffic in tennis though.  Step on somebodies foot in basketball your ankle could be &@#%ed.

I'm talking about worst sport to PLAY with an ankle injury.

I've played both tennis and futbol and would MUCH rather play futbol because of the ability to extensively wrap the ankle and the amount of padding one can use to prevent further injury.  The presence of cleats further makes lateral movement much easier to do with the ankle isolated.

Compare that to tennis.  What does an ankle look like when switching directions on a tennis court?  The lateral movement in soccer is present, but not even close to tennis.
