I get it though. He played the sport in high school, he coaches it, and he is a avid fan. It just amazes me how passionate he is about it. I seriously can't count on my fingers and toes how many times I've seen the K-State/Texas game from 2006. We had the edited version that was on ESPN Classic taped (that's right VHS), when they replayed the best games of 2006. So, I come home from work and he's watching it for the gazillionth time and I say,

Da's response? He shrivels his face into the saddest thing I've ever seen and says,


"But this is the version I got from Brain and it's the full game so I can see the boring plays they cut out on the edited version!"


And then there are the message boards. He spends 2 hours minimum a night on football message boards. His obvious favorite is K-State's and he's been logging a lot of hours on Auburn's as of late. He's very proud that someone on Auburn's message board started a thread just about him. (he's known as Fatdamon on those things)
That's all I've got. After all this typing about football I'm already burnt out. Wish me luck this season.

UPDATE:

Told him about it last night and he said "I fear change."
