ku loses to A & M, OSU and Missouri (5-3), Missouri loses at KSU (6-2) and KSU wins out (6-2) = KSU Big 12 North Champs! Keep on believing!
:hope:

Naw.
-
god stop these. We are not going to win the north. and could very easily end up with the exact same record as last year.

There are numerous threads dedicated to this delusion already.

K-state wins 4 out of the next 5. I do not predict bowl games for k-state

Thanks for finding that link, because I was thinking the exact same thing.

The two biggest obstacles we now face is 1) Beating Missouri. That's going to be a tall task even at home. 2) Kansas losing 3 games. I can't see them dropping three, two is much more realistic. I'm just not sure it's meant to be this year. If it was, our defense would have held Oklahoma State but they didn't. We just don't have the depth on the defensive front quite yet. Next year and the year after were the years I have thought KSU will be primed to make a serious run in the Big 12.

Remember when we did this again in '04? :curse:

After the Marshall loss during the 2003 season, Jesse Keaulana-Kamakea was telling me in speech class that they had a really good team and they would bounce back and win the Big 12. Then they lost to Texas. The next week, he told me not to worry they would get things fixed and go on a run. Then they lost to Oklahoma State. He didn't say anything. Next thing you know KSU goes on a 7-game win streak and I'm high-fiving players in Kansas City. He was right all along.
The point is, they knew they had the players to get it done, it was just a matter of putting it all together and get rolling. The difference right now is, we don't have the same kind of quality depth as we had on that team and that's why it's different this year. We're not nearly as bad as '04 and '05 but not as good of a team as we were in '03.

I was saying we convinced ourselves that there were scenarios where we would be in the Big XII title game. Remember?

Speaking of realistic possibilities: 1-7. Thank goodness for Iowa State, huh?
kono
You're maybe right.. Looking more like a KSU team from a few years ago...

Can someone name all the "depth" we had in '03? IIRC, We had good/great front line starters. The "depth" ended up being the guys that lead us to 4-7 and 5-6.

Actually that's somewhat true. I've never seen a player regress as badly as he did following that season.

Personally, I think uk is more likely to lose three than the Nebs are to lose seven. Just saying. The toughest game on our schedule right now is MU. We SHOULD win the others handily, even Fresno.
Since MU does not have the power running game, I think we can win in manhattan. And for the record, I'd much rather drink purple kool-aid than crimson and blue. :D And frankly this: :whiteflag: is not in my blood!
-
I really want ku to implode. What scares me, though, is I see a bit of old Snyder teams in them. I'm on the Journey train and I haven't stopped believin'. :goodevil:
-
actually if ku just looses to MU and one more game, and we win out it will be a three way tie between KSU, ku, and MU

Really? Cool, I'm amazed anyone who reads this board knows that! :blank:
