he did save a td earlier in the game. I don't know what's wrong with him, but we all know very well he's a GREAT player.  look at the tape of last year's ok state game, he was incredible.  hell, look at the auburn game.  there's obviously something wrong with him, probably injury wise.  he does NOT suck.

He was ok in the Auburn game, ok last OSU game.

WOW.  Carney has already passed him.

Watts is a very instinctive player and is great at coming up to stop the run, but when your safety is making TFLs on a regular basis you just know that he is liable to bite on play action.  Watts is pretty good at playing centerfield in coverage but he is very below average as a cover safety.

So we have an average speed, aggressive, run stopping safety that isn't a particularly hard hitter and is below average in coverage.

I've really rooted for Watts, but he certainly haven't progressed how we wanted, because of injuries or not.

He was considered just as fast or faster than Jordy before his devastating hip injury.

Lucky for us he isn't as fast after it.  I'm really not trying to attack him.

All he's good at is tackling at the line of scrimmage.  His open field tackling is horrible.

Hey, look at the bright side....we could have Tetuan back there. And Rusty, if you say Tetuan was better, I'm going to go  :yikes:

Tetuan wasn't as pasty white, so he had that going for him.  But, Tetuan wasn't good at fighting, so he had that going against him....also wasn't good at football.

All of that love that has been poured on Watts and now when he stumbles, you all go ahead and throw him under the bus. Nice. What about the stinger position on STs - everyone wants to blow him after his ST play. This year is just one of those years where - the things that are normally strong enough to hold us up are giving way like a m-fu*ker.

That's 3 TD's that Watts has given up by all by himself due to his FP tackling.  He missed a ku WR on a bubble screen that went for a TD as well.  Pretty much our entire defense (Ian included) are tackling like FP's.   :runaway:

It's more of a steady meltdown.  I don't really erupt, just a nice steady flow.  I'm consistent like that.
