Most of the Ostate fans around us were pretty gracious. I think one of them was going to send a thank you letter to our tight ends. One guy got all bent out of shape when someone started bragging up Jordy Nelson...but at that point we were up 21-7..prior to Cox putting it in our ear with the return.
We've got to find out a way to win games because this is a team that can't close out the deal. We either get a lead and coast to win, or lose...there is no middle ground. If we're leading Baylor by less than 7 with three minutes to go.....  :ohno: :ohno:

One OSU fan poured a soda down my back when he walked by me, but before I felt it run down my leg he was already gone.

Bookcat - any impressions from all the $ they've sunk into old Lewis Field?
It is yet a much more enjoyable experience for the average fan? Better rest rooms, concessions, seats, etc...?

One of the high school age gate workers made some type of remark to my mother. Neither of us heard what he said, but an OSU fan came up to us and apologized for the worker's "inappropriate remark". My thoughts of the stadium are that it is beautiful, but it appeared that the field was an afterthought. There wasn't any room between the field and the walls of the stands. All of the consession stands and bathrooms were well thought out and easy to get to and use. I loved the televisions stationed all over the place. Also loved the escalators. I wish they had put the stadium somewhere else, though. There is no where near enough parking.

I like how their stands were so close to the field, I wish our stands were that close.
I thought their stadium was a pain in the ass to get around though. We went in on the opposite side of the stadium from where our section was and because of the construction on the west side everyone was forced to walk through a very congested sidewalk inside the stadium to get to the other side. It took us about 15-20 minutes from when we got into the stadium till we got into our seats.

They are going to have one loud venue when they are done with it but for the most part the fans weren't near as loud as Kstater's are..particularly when their team was on defense. It's pretty impressive the kind of stadium they have considering they too are a small state school with roughly the same enrollment as Kstate. Boone Pickens really loves his football.

Fans were nice but, the stadium sucks.
Manhattan is first class compared to Stillwater

The stadium will be pretty tits when done. The fans were good, but not as loud as ours. The tailgating blew in comparison to ours, seriously didn't even hold a candle.

Parking is an issue that directly relates to this.

True, but it still sucked nonetheless.

True. But, if Aggieville was as close to our stadium as their bars are in Stillwater I bet it would cut down on the tailgating numbers. Still though, there just weren't that many out there partying.
For the most part they are a nice bunch and I was offered beers over and over.....but they're also human, they pimped their team when necessary. Savage and Robinson are a good running tandem...I jsut can't understand how they played that well offensively on us after what Troy did to them.
