Title: How to beat Oklahoma State
Post by: catsfan20052006 on October 19, 2007, 02:09:08 PM
1. Slow down Adarius Bowman

Not an easy task but that's what everybody thought about the matchup with Limas Sweed and we held him to two catches

2. Throw the ball

Oklahoma State's pass defense is ranked #112 in the country. Teams are throwing for 300 yards/game on the OSU defense

3. Stop the run

Hugh Charles, of Colorado, went for 171 yards last week against the Cats and Dantrell Savage had 212 yards against Nebraska last week

Did you steal that from the Collegian?

Anyway, we let Charles have the middle for the first half, and Nebraska just plain sucks.

Wrong.
1)Stop the Run.
2) Run the ball.
3) Score more points than them.

You sound like a poster @ Huskertardia.

Keys to the game:

1) Score on ST
2) Score on D
3) Pass from non-Qb
4) Trickeration

Bold and Daring, douche.

I want to see a fake FG.  I don't remember seeing one yet under Prince.  In fact, I can't remember a fake FG for K-State at all (Snyder era).

The last fake I remember from Snyder is the 2004 A&M game featuring Jesse Martinez.  I'm sure there were others, but can't remember.

The fake punt vs. Nebraska defined B&D.

1. I already said that
2. Why would you run the ball when they're so bad against the pass? We can use screens as glorified running plays in an effort to keep their offense off the field
3. Well that's just dumb

running the ball shortens the game and keeps them off the field, and helps keep JF from having a road meltdown game.  If we have success running it, we need to do so as much as possible.

True but if they're so bad against the pass.....If it ain't broke don't fix it! They're much better against the run then they are against the pass. Instead of using the run to set up the pass.....Lets use the pass to set up the run.

Cu was pretty good against the run as well. We will not win a track meet against those guys.

It doesn't have to be a track meet. We can still win T.O.P. by throwing the ball.

Was that planned?  I think he was just like "&@#% it, i'm black" and took off with it.
