Hire day from Boise?
"it ain't intramurals brutha"?
OU upset?
For me it was story of his favorite food, Mongolian. In a quirky sort of way it was "his favorite movie is Pinnochio" sort of thing. Hit me like a ton of bricks that this dude is peculiar enough to win big.

He shouldn't write for free. He could charge people for that kind of insight. Like, over a thousand bucks.

if you ever get a chance you must listen to his weekly radio show sometime. It's quality Hawk stuff. Last year when he was explaining something to a fan who called in he finished w/ "do you smell me, dog"? Great stuff that a D1 coach is saying that publicly.

For me it was story of his favorite food, Mongolian.
I'm betting it's a Mongolian BBQ place in Boulder rather than something more authentic like:
Chanasan Makh:
This is the most traditional, simplest, and ubiquitous dish of the mongolian nomads. The meat of an animal (usually mutton) is cut into handy chunks together with the bones, and boiled in salted water until ready.
Gedes:
When a sheep is slaughtered, all of the innards are removed and prepared for eating. The blood of the animal is collected and filled into the carefully cleaned intestines. The result are blood sausages (black pudding), liver, lungs, and other goodies in a large bowl, which will be well received by all family members.
and let's not forget Ayrag:
Fermented mare's milk. :yuck:
Here's betting that Hawk has never even seen actual Mongolian food.

For me it was when he let his RBs carry his team into the red zone, then took the ball out of their hands and handed the ball to his son and asked him to try and throw it in for the score.
