Damn it - I don't want to go to Arizona again.
unless we make it to the Insight or Fiesta Bowl you won't have to worry (the sun bowl's in El Paso).

A couple of intriguing possibilities I saw:

I hope this isn't a completely stupid question but... They have ku going to the Cotton Bowl as the big 12 #2 but Mu and Ou both going to BCS bowl games? After the BCS teams are decided is the big 12 #2 just the best team left? Also How would both Mu and Ou make bcs bowl games. If they meet up in the big 12 championship game and Mu loses would they be a bcs team with two loses?

In your hypothetical; OU/MU winner would be picked to play in the national championship. That would remove the Big XII champ from their BCS guaranteed slot. The loser of that game would now get the automatic BCS bid. That would then remove the loser of the conference championship game from the Cotton Bowl. Then the Cotton Bowl would get to pick a bowl eligible Big XII team.
Since ku could not even get 3k to go to Manhattan, that would mean KSU, OSU, UT, A&M, and Tech would all be ahead of them in line. ku would go and play in a bowl against basically a home team to ensure ticket sales.

I'm thrilled to hear that somebody still has us in the Independence Bowl. I expected two Texas Bowl predictions (or worse). If this is as bad as it's going to get I can imagine the projections will look pretty good if we can go 3-0 before the Missouri game.

Not that I have much faith in actually making it to the Independence Bowl...but that is one scary proposition....it's unreal to even think about...

Still.....I'd take it. I'd rather go up against a name opponent in a bowl game that people have heard of then Wyoming in the Texas Bowl or something.
