OSU- haven't seen a line but I'd guess they'd be favored by 4-6 points.
Baylor- win
ISU- win
NU- tossup as they have lots of time to fix things. 50/50 I say we'll be a dog though.
Mizzou-I still think they are the class of the north. L
4-4 overall in big 12.
4-4 was my origional prediction (i think)
I'll be dissapointed based on what I've seen of the team this year. Seems we are better than that.
-
Not happy at all. I can see KSU easily losing to NU and MU.
I will be 100x more pissed off if they lose to nu than the loss to ku.
-
me too, i wish we played them next week.
-
I think we could easily beat OSU and NU, but we could also drop either game. I think 5-3.
-
OSU- Win
Baylor- Win
ISU- Win
NU- Win
Mizzou- Win
There, that's better. Keep your head up and stay motivated. Many good teams have gone down this season, so anything is possible. Even these next 5 games. :hookem:

I think we'll lose to OSU and Mizzou. I thought we would lose to CU, fwiw..
-
I was really worried about CU after ku, glad the defense tightened in the second half. Offense really was a pleasant suprise yesterday, wish we could have had another TD rather than FG's. JJ's fumble on the bad snap was killer on 1st down at the 11.
-
Yes. 4-4 is cool.
-
NU is 50/50? LOL
-
I can't imagine that they don't get some things fixed in 3 weeks. Cally can't be THAT bad can he?
-
I think it's a matter of NU's players giving up more than the coaching staff's ability to fix it. Although the coaching staff's ability is also under question.
-
I think 4-4 is about the worst we can do at this point so yeah I'll be pissed if we do that. Baylor and ISU seems like as close to locks as you can find. The other 3 are all winnable I've got to think we find a way to win at least one of those. Especially the NU game they are playing like crap I'm not sure they're going to be able to get stuff turned around. It's not like it just started last week it's been going on for most of the year and it only seems to be getting worse.
This week at OSU I think is a real big chance for us if we can find a way to win then we'll be set up to make a run at winning the North. Both ku and MU have tough games this coming week and both could lose.
-

You do realize that this is the same Callahan that took a team from the Super Bowl one year to one of Oakland's all time worst records in the history of the franchise over the course of a single season, don't you?!?!?
-
NU's oline scares me the most. I agree though, outside of mizzou, OSU is probably the toughest game the rest of the way. If we can win against them I think we'd have a real chance at beating NU, and if we can defend OSU I would think that we stand more than a chance at defending Mizzou.

MU will shred our defense.
JMO.

I think they will too, unless we change something.
-
4-4 would be good. Sneaking out one more for 5-3 would solidify the ....uh... non believer types.
I'd love to see a 5-3 record. And I think it's possible.
-
Yeah, hopefully we learned something from last year. Ou showed though that if you are physical with their wideouts, and get good pressure they get out of rhythm. Although I don't think our dline is near what ou's is. However OSU's offense is as close to the talent level of mizzou's as we will see. It will be a decent measuring stick. We have to find a way to be more physical on the Dline, Hopefully Abana is learning quickly.

They might but they don't have a downhill run game so we might match up to them better then we have some of these other teams. They seem to always blow a game on the road they shouldn't. Last year it was Iowa State could be us this year. Who knows they might melt down again this year I think Texas Tech is going to whip them this coming week.

I don't even know what we can change that would matter.
Maclin, Coffman, Rucker... :ohno:
-
What would be wrong with winning out. It is all a matter of attitude!!!! :ksu:

I guess I could kill one or two of them if it came to that... :dunno:

I don't know if I would say "happy", but I wouldn't be pissed. I figured 7-5 (4-4) going into the year, so that would just be meeting expectations. If they go 4-4 then lose to Fresno I'd probably be mildly dissapointed...8 wins, and I'll be mildly pleased.
-
It's all about preseason expectations. I predicted 7-5 and 4-4, saying it would be a solid year, with 8-4 being a great year, and anything above being an absolutely amazing year.
So yeah, I'd be happy about 4-4. However, after seeing how well we've played so far this year and how crappy some of our opponents are, it wouldn't surprise me if we did much better.
-
waks- find a way to get brad smith an extra year of eligibility. :hope:
-
4-4 will be acceptable. Just get into and win the bowl game and its improvement over last year because of our much tougher schedule. Currently #19 per Sagarin.

And bring back Allen Webb. Just for this one game.

"OSU- haven't seen a line but I'd guess they'd be favored by 4-6 points."
Good call. Oklahoma State opened a 4 point favorite. Hope that line goes up so I can put a good sized ML bet on it.
ku is only a 2.5 point favorite at Colorado. I would expect some early line movement there.
-
IMO, ku is going to beat CU by 10.
-
I don't think they'll win in Boulder.
-
boulder is not an easy place to play and i think it will be close. i think ku might pull it out in the end but then again mangino and the road not very good. so i would prolly take cu and the points at this juncture but wait til the line moves and take cu and 3 or 4

MU will shred our defense.
JMO.
Not if Mr. Daniel has to handle pressure. Did anyone watch the OU/MU game? When you pressure him you have to contain him and force him to scramble to the middle. Also we need to use our coverage to force them to throw down the sidelines. I'm not saying we'll shut them down, just that the right scheme will give them fits for at least 3 quarters. And, on the road that could equal a loss for Mizzou w/ as many points as their D gives up.
-
4-4 would suck balls.
-
4-4 would suck balls.
qft.
There's no way they shouldn't end up winning 3 more with our sched. From how they've played on the road thus far there will be a W @ Stillwater or Lincoln, and if we can't beat Baylor @ home or @ ISU then...I don't know, but it won't be good.
4-4 would suck.
-
With the road win at UT already under our belt (even with the loss to ku) 5-3 should be minimum. This team is more than capable of that IMO. BU and ISU have to be wins and every other game is winnable. @ OSU or @ NU being the key games IMO and a chance to upset MU at home.
-
I give KSU a 40% chance of going 5-3.

That's kind of the way I feel, this is a much, much better team than last year.
