And ku is not a top 15 team.

They are right now....and we would be too if we would have made a stop against them in the 4th quarter.

KSU would be easy top 10, maybe top 5 if they win the two games they should've.

But unfortunately at this juncture, top 10 for this team would be overrated.  I hate saying that but it's true.  they're good, but they're not that good...yet.

We've got work to do on defense and in the running game before we worry about rankings.

But we're getting there, and that's the good news.

There's not just one win, but it's the way ku has won, and the fact we beat South Florida last season with a team that isn't nearly as good as the '07 edition.  Plus, I don't think Boston College is anything special.  Just my opinion, and Lou Holtz agrees.

How could you possibly know this? ku has played 1 decent team this season, and they don't play another until the last game of the season. Lou Holtz is certifiably insane. Dementia is awful.

So the win against a top 25 K-State team, on the road, was just "decent?"

I'd say it was just "luck". :banghead:

Boston College has one decent win (at Georgia Tech).  I'd say winning on the road against a top 25 in-state rival is a more quality win.

So the win against a top 25 K-State team, on the road, was just "decent?"

I'd say it was just "luck". :banghead:

That's because you're a K-State fan.  Kansas had the opportunity to win that game by much more than 6 points.  You all were lucky to have a chance at the end.

That's just because you're a ku fan, and have mentally blocked the first quarter/half.  See how this game works?

That was the result of ku's defense not letting K-State run the football and ku's coaching staff running circles around Ron Prince once again.

Not really.  ku gift-wrapped one of your TD's on a pass off of the facemask.  ku dropped two TD passes, missed an extra point, and didn't get any points after getting down to K-State's 15-yard line.  Like your coach said, the better team won.  Deal with it.

Top 15 teams can make mistakes like that and still win on the road.  Deal with it.

Isn't it funny how chickenhawk fans say that 59-55 was just a freak instance and luck, but winning at Manhattan once in over a decade makes them big 12 road warriors in football!     FYI - Anything can happen in one game... you will have to string together a few more before you get too much creditability.

Am I?

Listen, it's ok, I get it.  If my team were one of the half dozen undefeated teams, but still couldn't garner enough respect to crack the top half of the polls, I'd be pretty salty too.  I might even lower myself to lashing out on a rival-but-not-our-real-rival's message board, no matter how irrational that might seem.  I'd feel so much better.  Stupid South Florida.  What do they have that I don't?

South Florida beat a top 5 (or were they sixth?) WVU team and a top 15 Auburn team on the road (same Auburn team that beat Florida). ku's best victory is against a 24th ranked KSU team that was coming off of a huge road win while ku was coming off of a bye week. You don't even come close to being as good as USF.

Winning on the road in Manhattan is much more difficult than winning in Boulder.  The last time ku was this good, we went into Boulder and beat then #4 Colorado.  Kansas is ranked #15 in both polls, and 13th in the BCS.  I couldn't be happier with the way ku has played at this point.

Their best win was on the road against an Auburn team that has an incredible defense but a below average offense.  K-State out-played Auburn for 3 quarters and couldn't seal the deal in the 4th.  ku beat South Florida, 13-7 last season, with Kerry Meier starting at QB and a terrible pass defense.  I think both teams have improved since last season, but I would take ku on a neutral field any day of the week.

Do the hollow words silence all of the self-doubt, or are they simply an echo chamber for your own frustration?  Why don't they love us?  Why don't they fear us?  15!?  But we're undefeated!

Calm down, man, it's ok.  I have a suggestion (http://store1.yimg.com/I/hobased_1966_13620614) that will make everything better.

ku is not a top 10 team right now.  I'm hesitant calling us a top 15 team even.

I do think that we're a legit top 20 at this point in time.  If we can come out of Boulder and College Station unscathed, I think we'd be legit top 15.

your ONLY road win was against us.  i don't want to get into the ku/KSU game again, but we pretty much outplayed you for 3+ quarters just like we outplayed auburn for 3+ quarters.  so are you really trying to downplay auburn?  in case you forgot, that auburn team beat florida.  just admit it, south florida is much better than ku and everyone who really matters (coaches and sports analysts) is in agreement about it.

You're counting a win from last year now?  Are you serious?  ku is good this year, but no matter how good they get, or how many wins they rack up, their fans will still know dick about football.

Didn't you know?  If you beat a team last year, you're automatically better than them this year.  Even if the team is Top2 or 3 in every poll and #2 in the BCS.  Seems logical.
