&@#%. We were amazing. I mean, crazy good.

yea we were
wtf happened?
i still maintain that snyder got lazy after the conference championship
-
I don't know. So many theories.
I do know that every conversation my brother and I have on the phone, it always reverts back to that question. Every single time.
"Damn...we used to be soo good."
"What happenend?"

i really wish the snyder era would have ended after 2003. id have a much better taste in my mouth than i do right now.
-
Disagree with that. The new coach would have walked into a terrible situation and everyone would want to lynch him after we *GASP* don't win 11 (ELEVEN!) games.
Seriously, I remember people wanting to fire Snyder after that mini-slide (2 losses out of 3 games) in the middle of the 2000 season. We were so damn spoiled and cocky. And I loved it.
-
i agree and disagree only b/c my opinion of snyder after the last two years is much different than it was prior to that.

Snyder recruiting issues:
1. Waiting to long to offer kids.
2. Not keeping up with the times in terms of the use of media to contract recruits.
3. Staff wasn't very good recruiters, and also got extremely stuck on trying to lure California JC kids to KSU, of which few if any worked out.
4. Got so wrapped up in trying to win games that he kept staff off the road during critical recruiting periods.
5. To much time spent recruiting a few blue chips that weren't going to come to KSU, and to late getting to the next guys in line.
6. Arrogant attitude the last few years toward Midwest JC players and coaches.

Few, if ANY Juco players worked out in the last 3-4 years...should they be from California or not! Don't forget gaps in recruiting either. How can you just not recruit any prep DEs in 2-3 classes?
