You guys do realize we were WINNING with like 4 minutes left in the game? the only thing that stopped us from winning was prince's stupid decision to squib kick it and give ku a short field. granted, it seems that our defense gives up everytime a team enters our 20 yard line, but it's not like we were "dominated" like most of you say.

Doubt it. ku was better than us in every aspect of the game. There's only so many bounce passes off the helmet we can capitalize upon.

Doubt it. ku was better than us in every aspect of the game. There's only so many bounce passes off the helmet we can capitalize upon.
but that's all we needed to get ahead, that's how football is played, by the scoreboard. our defense just choked big time. no adjustments at all. ku's offense in the first quarter was horrendous, and what did they do, made adjustments and started scoring quickly. what did our defense do? same damn thing even though they were getting ran over. mangino made smart adjustments, prince's arrogant ass didn't. prince can put a hell of a gameplan together, but he has to learn to make adjustments.

Either way when it came down to it I had no confidence we could stop them when it mattered. It took a miracle of a turnover to take the lead in the w/ "4 minutes left in the game".

Oh I don't know. Between last weekend and this weekend they adjusted from tackling well to not tackling at all. They also adjusted from covering receivers to leaving at least one totally uncovered on nearly every play. And of course there's the fact that they adjusted from 2-3 folks following up the initial hit almost immediately to there not being anyone within ten yards of the initial whiff. Many many adjustments happening on the defensive side. :curse:

We also had the ball at the 50, down 6, with two minutes to go.

I thought Prince lost the game with the stupid decision with 1:45 to go in the first half. We were up 7, 3rd and 3 and we pass the ball. Josh throws an interception, which led to a ku touchdown.
We lost the momentum tied up going into half. :banghead:

We pass the ball on damn near every play what did you want him to do? I was thinking go down and get points there and go up two scores. It wasn't like it was a risky throw it just got tipped at the line of scrimmage by one of the few ku defenders that was actually being well blocked.
We had good field position and plenty of time no reason not to be aggressive there. What did you want us to do try to start sitting on a 7 point lead in the second quarter? We moved the ball well the whole first half outside of the penalties if we could have gotten up by 10 at the half it might have been enough to hold them off.

Oh yeah...you're exactly right. That and you were playing a much better team, who even on a terrible, turnover-laden day, found a way to beat you. It's going to be so sweet watching the Buffs crush you next week. What spin will you losers put on it next Sunday?

So the 3 picks Freeman threw were caused by the ku defense but the 3 picks Reesing threw were just ku screw ups...

all i'm trying to say is we didn't get "killed", yeah we got dominated at the line for most of the second half, but we were a 3 and out or another turnover away from a W. this shouldn't have been close, we were dominating THEM in the early first half. their offense wasn't going ANYWHERE. but what did they do, made adjustments, and we didn't, that simple. this comes from mangino being more experienced and a better gametime coach. prince has to learn, if not we are in trouble.

one more thing, i know this is kinda making excuses and what not and i deffinately have "ate my humble pie" and admitted ku was the better team yesterday, but everytime ku fumbled, it came right back to them. the one on the punt could've been huge but it took an abnormally large bounce out of the endzone. another time before half before their last score which changed momentum, reggie walker had a huge sack and a sweet strip....what happens? bounces right back to their o linemen. just little things like these makes me think it was just meant for them to win yesterday. overall, it was a weird game, but by no means did we get "dominated". suck it up ksu fans, the buffs are next.
