I was prompted to ask this, does anyone know the outcome of the meeting from last week??
One thing I can say for sure is that Thursday's before "get-a-way" day at KSU are never anything like this.
Practice
Dinner
Study Table (for those required to attend)
Mandatory team meeting to cover trip itinerary so players can attend morning classes the next day.
Well, I lied a little, the only thing out of the ordinary is that mandatory team meeting. Mandatory team meetings on the night before leaving on a road trip at KSU are only called if the team needs to be told a "cover story". Get everyone on the same page for when NCAA investigators and/or internal compliance people start asking questions. Otherwise there are NEVER mandatory team meetings at KSU the night before "Travel Days" . . . never. Because we all know how easy it is to call a meeting and get 120-130 people all singing the same tune.
Given this reality, I think we all should be . . . :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Just another "new tradition."

That's true, and I would add that when you're trying to cover up something, make sure you TELL as many people as possible about what you're trying to cover up. But I concur, Thursday night "cover story" meetings are a "new" tradition.

(In a Ben Stein-like low monotone voice) I am so scared right now I can hardly move. What is going to happen to our program? FWIW, sub in Eeyore's voice if you'd like. Don't for get to add the "Oh, bother"

Seriously- why does anything that Ron Prince does surprise anyone anymore?
He's just one weird Kat (the great ones always are) and I'm loving every minute of it.

QFFT
Ron Prince is a blast to have as football coach of your favorite team.
And dax, don't let 'em get to ya.

I heard the same thing, this has legs.

Dax is dead on. The only other mandatory team meetings that I can recall on the night before leaving on a road trip were when we needed to cover up Ell's Escalade and Sproles' Calc II final.

I am not letting anyone get to me, I just enjoy egging on the "insider" and the other Jr. Detectives.
-
I doubt this is any big deal. Probably just another illegitimate kid for Jordy or some dentist making an extra complimentary set of bling-bling choppers for Marcus Watts.
-
We all know how much Marcus "5000" Watts likes his bling!

It's also important to get 60 or so players who aren't traveling in on the meeting so they can spread the word on campus while the team is out of town. Best to have "boots on the ground" spreading the cover-up story before the bad news hits the Sunday paper.

I'm beginning to wonder if I missed a mandatory ksufans.com team meeting.
