Say he finishes the year w/ 1,100+ receiving yeards, 6+ Recieving TD's and just continues his spectacular play. do you think he'll get drafted? I think he's a shoe end to at least get drafted. I'm thinking he'll be about a 4th round pick.
I just want to hear some opinions on where you think he'll get drafted or if you even think he'll get drafted. And what kind of role you think he'll have in the NFL.
-
I want the Chiefs to draft him in the first round! Think about a Jordy/Bowe combo to dissect opposing defenses.

okay man, be serious. It's pretty damn obvious he's not a 1st rounder.
-
Comparing him to other KSU players who've been drafted, I would say he look like a 3rd or 4th round pick.
-
Jordy Nelson = Ed McCafferey (sp?)
-
I would say a Wayne Chrebet type. If he has that kind of career I'd be very happy for him. He will be drafted. Fast, good hands, playmaker.
-
At this rate, he will definitely get drafted. Depending on how far KSU goes and the publicity the team gets, I can see him peaking at a possible late 2nd round. Far more likely though a 3-5 round pick.
-
Jordy will definitely get drafted, barring injury.
By the way, it's shoo-in, not shoe end. The term shoo-in comes from racing and refers to a horse who is so much better than the competition that the jockey could just "shoo" him through the race instead of actually having to whip and spur him. :beerchug:

Jordy = Shorter Matt Jones 1st Round draft pick out of Arkansas. Jones ran a 4.41 at the combine.
When Jordy shows his stuff at the combine, he becomes a late 1st round, early 2nd round draft pick. Media sees white boy & thinks he is slow, but he is not. Plus he has special team skills. :woohoo:

Seriously, they see a white WR, they suddenly have "deceptive speed"
And lets not compare him to every other white WR thats made it to the NFL, the guy is a little quicker than Ed and Wayne.
-
drew bennet or mike Furrey anyone?
-
anyone have a clue to what Jordy's 40 time is?
-
yeah

I communicate with a head scout of an AFC team (not KC) from time to time. He said Jordy ran a 4.63 40 on turf last spring and was measured at 6' 2 1/2" and 216lbs. He said at that time they listed jordy as a "middle round" prospect. I would assume with a productive year and better times than 4.63 in the combine he could be a first day pick.

4.63 is BS! I was thinking around 4.5
-
rember jordy was hurt last year so that could by why the 4.63 but this was from his sophomore year There's been speculation that if the 6-foot-2, 217-pound Nelson, who has been timed at 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash, improves on his receiving numbers, he could leave for the NFL." befor last year
-
Jordy will go Top 3 Rounds if he keeps this up.

Productivity on the field in college isn't the end-all-be-all for drafting. Intangibles, mental makeup, 40-times, shuttle runs, bench reps, and physical stature are probably more what NFL scouts look at than what they see on gameday. That's why T-Gunn got drafted and hypesman winners and candidates frequently become late round picks.

QFT, Jason White didn't even get drafted.
and this is why I think McKinney gets drafted.

I said this the other day, stop stealing my material cub! :D :bootyshake:
