OK OK, let's give ku some credit... I mean look at what they have done away from Larry Town this year...
OK that was bad, at least they are dominating teams from BCS conferences...
Maybe I'm off track here... I cant think of any thing to take seriously with ku's team this year up to this point.
-
They beat who they should have beaten, as badly as they should have beaten them, and they got their depth on the field for 4 games. I think they'll start slow, and that should help.
-
Its funny how people can attack ku's scheduling procedures, when the entire idea came from KSU and Mr. Snyder himself.

Not really. Lots of KSU fans hated how Snyder scheduled.
KSU's schedules under Snyder from 96-00 deserved to be laughed at hysterically.

I agree I hate the scheduling philosiphy. In the end though, it is what it is, and all the players can do is take care of business that is put in front of them. The true ku team is still unknown, and that is reflected by the fact that they are 1 of only 2 unbeatens that arent ranked. That being said, I don't agree with the fact that many people think that the noncon schedule of Kansas is relevant to this Saturdays game.

I believe the 'attacking' is toward people giving them a better than 50-50 chance to win. The basis for the attacking is from their air-filled cupcakes and their less than average road play. Mangina has not carried that success into conference play. LSnyder would at least be > 0.500 in conference play, FHCMM has yet to achieve 0.500 in conference play.
Whatever he does to prep for a road win is ineffective & may even be ergolytic - for a team as good as ku fans think they have, odds are they should win 0.250 of road games at least, right? Especially when they don't have to play conference/nat'l champs every year.
-
I totally agree with you that his preparation for road games has been lacks, and for some reason they can't translate that into wins. That also has nothing to do with my point of the noncon. They didnt play a noncon road game, which makes that arguement irrelevant when evaluating the noncon portion of the Kansas schedule.
-
Bottom line:
How laughable (or not) ku's nonconference slate has been will be decided on Saturday. Any conclusions drawn prior to the result of the game on Saturday are purely speculation.
My speculation is that ku is a very solid team. KSU will need to play very well in order to hold serve at home.

I think you misunderstood my point...The target of the 'attacks' is the thought that ku has a better than 50-50 chance to win, NOT the air-filled pastry schedule. However, the twinky schedule is part of the rationale behind the 'attacks'. Other aspects for the attacks are ku's decrepid capacity to win on the road and against south division/ranked opponents. So, it's a culmination of information, of which, this year's defense-less opponents are a part, yet not the whole argument.
To view it differently, if ukan had a history of winning 30-40% of their road games and had beaten aTm, UT, OU, etc., then our attacks would be less - at least I would be much less confident about KSU winning. But since, ku is a terrible road team & they've played air, their chances at winning, IMO, are very minimal.
-
I see your point, but I must ask. Did the soft noncon schedule cause KSU to lose games under Snyder within the conference?
