Don't let him roll out. If we keep him contained in the pocket, with our D-line apparently excellent at getting their hands up if they aren't getting a good push, Reesing's height will come into play against him in a big way. Since he hasn't had to handle that situation yet this year, he could start to panic and make bad decisions, a la Freeman last year.
I think if K-State lets Reesing get out of the pocket and create, they could get yards in bunches.
I'm not very worried about their running game at all.

I don't see how he'll be able to see the field if he does sit in the pocket.
-
Freeman turned the ball over 6 times and they only beat us by 19 points.
-
I just hope that we go after him and don't try to zone them the whole damn game. Although Kerry couldn't read cover 2 last year.

Precisely. Like Freeman, Reesing apparently wants to roll out. If you take that away from him, it can take him out of his comfort zone.

Colt McCoy isn't all that tall either...remember how many balls were tipped at the line? I expect the same this week.

QFT
I think our D is going to have a really, really good game this weekend.
*Is Fatgina using Talib for both off and def this saturday? He might get a little tired.

Mark it down, Kerry Meier will enter the game at qb at some point. i just have a feeling, i could be very wrong and reesing could tear it up, bud idk.

Colt McCoy threw for 200 yards at home with better receivers. JF threw for 244 against the Sqawks last year. Reesing will not do as well as JF did last year. In fact, I really don't expect him to finish the game. Go State! :dive:

I'm worried we won't be able to see him...then all of a sudden...there he is, racing down the field all Sproles like. Maybe we should recruit a midget to play middle LB and watch his legs.

Sounds like a job for John Houlik! I was amazed at his speed on Johnson's return. He was passing somebody from UT who was either a DB, RB or WR by number.

yes.

I'm more concerned about our O than our D. Our D has proven it's a tough ass group of SOB's. I hope our O finds consistency.

I agree with a previous poster who stated that we should approach this game the same way we attacked OSU last year. Run the ball down their throats, control the ball most of the game, win the field position battle, rely on the defense to create stops and turnovers, and pull the game out in the 4th quarter. Does anyone have Ron's email? I'm clearly really smart and its possible he hasn't considered this yet.
