What's your take?

With all of the assumed talent on Texas' roster, there were plenty of NFL scouts in attendance. One spoke to the Eagle on the condition of anonymity:

On Josh Freeman: "Good-looking kid. He's made some plays."

On Jordy Nelson: "He'll definitely play on Sundays. Are you kidding me?... He catches everything thrown his way."

Then there was Gary Barnett, the former Colorado coach who was serving as a radio color analyst for the game.

He was approached at halftime by a Texas administrator, who said, "K-State might be the best-kept secret in the country."

"They're good," Barnett said. "Damn good."

GARY!  :ksu: :ksu: :ksu:

You mean Mr. "Did you really need 49? Congratulations, you kicked our *ss!" Barnett? I hate him. He needs to make his atonement. This is just the first part of his KSU penance. :loly:

Then there was Brian Butler, the Cell Store worker who also terms himself the advisor and trainer for Wichita recruit Arthur Brown...

"If K-State wasn't using *the farm system*, and really recruiting quality Kansas kids, they would have won this game..."

Eagle writer Jeffery Martin followed up on Butler's comments "...that's legitimate"

Wow, good to know we are getting comments from people that REALLY matter.
