"The field for the 2007 Rumble on the Ridge high school boys basketball tournament has been set, according to director Bill Baxter.
The 2007 Rumble on the Ridge will once again be held over the Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 22-24 at Mustang Arena.
This year’s tournament field includes the first team from Oklahoma to make an appearance in the 10-year history of the event, Putnam City, a perennial nationally-ranked power.
Putnam City features 6’4 Brandon Jackson and 6’6, 205 pound junior shooting guard Xavier Henry, who has committed to Kansas.
Henry is the younger brother of C.J. Henry, the 17th pick in the first round of the 2005 Major League Baseball by the New York Yankees."

I'd rather have Beasley. Thanks though.
-
Xavier is 10x the player that Beasley is. The X man goes all out on every play, unlike Beasley. X also has a higher bball IQ than Beasley. Beasley showed a low hoops IQ by committing to KSU.
X is a smart guy and I'm sure he will commit to ku, but I haven't read any info indicating a decision.

are we supposed to be surprised?

Only Xavier McDaniel deserves the nickname "X man". Xavier Henry couldn't hold his jockstrap.

Not enough NBA potential for us. Just the right amount for ku.

That's funny. I think that was the first time KSU and NBA have appeared in the same sentence.
The best player to come out of KSU was Askia Jones. I think he was bagging my groceries at Hy-Vee..
-
No we had a guy named Richmond.....What the hell was his first name???? Oh ya Mitch...
-
A guy named Rolando as well.

Actually, I mentioned Askia because I didn't think the memory of a KSU fan went beyond the Bill Snyder era.
Yes, I do remember Richmond (2nd best player in the state of Kansas in '88), Blackman, Chuckie Williams, Mike Evans, Ed Nealy (I currently live in the house he grew up in), Norris Coleman, Jankovich, etc...
There was even a guy by the name of Boozer in the 1950s who was good.
-
I'm scared guys. He's gotta be good, his brother was drafted to play baseball!!!

It doesn't go beyond the Huggins era. We kick your ass at recruiting.
-
Xavier Henry will LoL @ the state of ku basketball '08/'09. Thus decommitting (if he's even committed in the first place), and going somewhere relevant to the college basketball world. :kugayfight:

Scout says only one offer (ku) he must really suck.

If you have no idea what the house looks like, you should avoid making stupid comments based on location.
You show a total lack of maturity, kc.

Our resident JohnBrown is one testy little bitch isn't she??
-
That's funny...Because I actually went to High School with Xavier, and don't get me wrong, he was good, but he is dumber than dirt, and all he does is launch 3's from like 25 feet, rarely taking it to the basket.....Sure he makes some, but he misses alot to. He has great athleticism, but I'd be suprised if he is better than Michael Beasley...
These are just observations from his HIGH SCHOOL games. I have no clue what he does in AAU ball.
-
LOL @ #2!
He'd be more like your guys' Bill Walker.
-

Wow, 10x the player Beasley is???? So, he is like MIchael Jordan 8 years into his NBA career??? Brilliant analysis.
So, by your definition a low bball IQ is signing with a team that has an assistant coach that you have a good, long relationship with and committed to years ago? Hmm, I suppose loyalty is a characteristic for those with low bball IQ's also?
