Sorry....I guess this was not supposed do get out. I may have gotten some people in trouble & if it goes any farther, it may screw up the negotiations. I hope everyone will respect the akwardness of the postion I have put some people in.

Well, naturally. It is the biggest rivalry in the country, afterall.
-
Playing Texas every year would be &@#%ing awesome.
-
We are natural rivals.
Texas hates us.
Because we own them.
-
texas has everything to lose and nothing really to gain.
we have everything to gain
wait.....we arent talking about ku, we lose that game every year anyway
-
This has been in the works for years. Texas has been lobbying for this for as long as I can remember.
-
its not the best idea to play texas at home (pretty much) every year

I hear they want to get something together with a neutral site that moves around. Like, Cotton Bowl, Arrowhead, Soldier Field, Rose Bowl, etc.
-
My friend who is in "the know" said they have discuused it with Malcolm Glazer to play the game at Manchester United's stadium, a' la the 1992 Coca Cola bowl in Tokyo.

cotton bowl or new dallas stadium? a heard we were thinking of moving it to the new cowboys stadium, and they'll then move OU/UT back to campus/campus rotation.

This makes sense, as the Red River Rivalry has really lost it's luster in the last 10 years or so and the intensity of the older, true, rivalry heats up again. I think the rotation between Dallas and KC would be ideal.
We do need a new name for the resurgent battle, though. The old Chisholm Trail Crusade doesn't really fit anymore. Any suggestions?

I would just rename it, "The Most Fiercest, Hate Filled Rivalry in this or any Sport!!!!1111oneone" The key is to spell out the last couple of "one"s for more emphasis. Also, following "most" with "fiercest" adds that extra degree of "extremeness" by it not being grammatically proper.

Would everyone please edit their subject lines so this cannot be traced back to me & hopefully will go no further. I guess some infulential OU alums have gotten wind of this and are trying to kill the deal.

Sorry Huge, you need to be held responsible for your words wherever you are. You don't get a free pass because this is the internet. This has been talked about for a while. No need to get all high and mighty and think you broke something that nobody else knew.

Can we have a Jackie Sherrill influenced Bevo De-Nutting Ceremony prior to the game??
-
OU (and of course, ku) fans are getting seriously worried. As much as OU wants to be Texas' rival, they see the writing on the wall. Just the fact that the name "Chisholm Trail Crusade" has been mentioned has them calling their respective senators and congressmen to put a stop to what they know is coming.
