WHEW.  Thank God Pete called off the dogs.  I really thought our record asskicking of Nubb@Nubb was in danger.

But does it really count anymore since SC could have broken it easily but chose not to?

Was at game and people were leaving with 10:00 left in 3rd quarter. Husker tailgaters packing up with 40% left in the game, what a sad sight for even an average football program. Callahan slashing of throats, and calling oklahoman's hillbillies, only last so long until we see he can't win the big ones. Either it be the lack of a passing game(06') or lack of DT (07'). Callahan seems to have it mostly together but forgets one part of the game. Actually thought was a good job by Callahan maybe he's just unlucky, and Prince is lucky. Or is it more?

Records are made to be broken.  I just want to know if USC was applauded or not.  Anyone know ?

The stadium is empty! (http://65.98.70.3/vbbs/showthread.php?t=42323)

Quote
Did you see the shot as they panned the stadium? It's like rats jumping ship. Even in November 2003 it wasn't this bad.

Apathy has taken control of Husker Nation.
QFT.

Quote
didn't this happen at the KState game a few years ago?
:fatty:

Quote
It is tough to keep watching your defense consistently give up 10+ yard runs. Actually, it is rediculous to watch that.

Quote
there were still fans in the 3rd qtr in tonight's game..not in 2003
:bootyshake:

Quote
50+ players we wanted went to USC....and only 2 they recruited came here

Quote
it was getting cold and it was getting late
FP

Quote
this is the FIRST time I have stopped watching a Husker game in the 3rd qtr. Literally stopped watching it.

Quote
Those who did stay got to see a fairly gritty performance against USC's second team

Quote
I was disappointed in the student sections. They emptied earlier than most sections, except the oldsters in the west stadium. I was also very, very disappointed in the booing from the students. Some were booing early in the first quarter, every time something didn't go perfectly right.
"Greatest Fans in College Football"

Quote
Why should the fans have stayed? The Team wasn't there either.

Quote
I was there last night and K State 2003--K State 2003 was MUCH worse.

Quote
Wake doesn't have a run game either until they played us.

Quote
I was at the 70-10 Texas Tech game and I stayed every second of that game.
Trend?

Quote
The Greatest Fans in College Football deserved better Saturday night.

Quote
Unless his job depends on it, Cally will never get rid of Cos.
:woohoo:

Quote
They had traffic to beat...in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Quote
However, last night the straw broke the camel's back. It was a four-year culmination of hearing how great recruiting was going...how great "such and such" player looked in spring ball....how we have a true offensive genius as head coach....how all of our coaches prepare players to the fullest and for an NFL career...how the football program has never been better, etc. Instead of seeing us look like we belong with USC, we crawled to a 10-7 lead before rolling over to the tune of five unanswered touchdowns...all the while making no adjustments as USC ran like the wind and found the key to slowing down our offense. Fans have heard enough spin, BS, and propaganda. "Put up or shut up" time arrived in the form of a beatdown from USC.
A Cornhusker epiphany?  Best post from a Husker since '97.

I stayed until the end. And what fans were left, did applaud the better team, USC. The USC fans were actually very cool people. We drank with a few of them downtown. But I guess when you win, it's easier to be nice.

WOW, those 'Sker fans seem a little nervous... good stuff. Calafraud seems to have a lost look on his face at any given time during the game.

They aren't cool at all when they lose.

Yosh, you are on point -- they were a holes in LA when we beat them there, and I cant remember any of them asking me to join them for beers when they lost in Manhattan.

We need to score 9 TD's in Lincoln and take the all time record.

Keller long pass to Peterson.

1st and Goal.   Castille bulls ahead, loses the football, lineman falls on it short of the goal line.

OSU backup cheerleaders were playing defense.

Now maybe some of them will understand how easy it is to be the "Greatest College Football Fans" when you're always on the good end of a crushing 45-7 game.

38-9 is dead.

We shouldn't have given NU the safety in 2003.  I knew it would come back and haunt us.

OSU must have been cheating.  The Blackshirts are the best defense in the country, Asante is the best safety in college, Sam Keller is the front runner for the Heisman/a sure fire first round pick/ the rightful starter at ASU(if Carpenter's parents hadn't paid off the coach) AND Callahan coached in a Superbowl.  T Boone must have paid off the refs.

*edit- I forgot to mention that Nubb fans are the best and most loyal in the world, my mistake.  T. Boone must have paid them to leave early.
