WTF? I'll bet the tards like this more than Auburn, though.
2008 - Louisiana-Lafayette, Fresno, at Louisville, North Texas
2009 - UMass, at UCLA
2010 - UCLA, Missouri State, at North Texas
2011 - Oregon, at Miami of Florida
2012 - at Oregon, North Texas, Miami of Florida
2013 - (No games scheduled)
2014 - at Virginia Tech, Auburn
2016 - Virginia Tech

Interesting that we tried to get Notre Dame to do two games in South Bend, one in Arrowhead, and they turned us down.

2014 is going to be brutal. Hope we're 1998-esque by then.
-
Man, I hope we're good. We've got some pretty awesome OOC games for the next 10 years.
-
I'd love those schedules even if we're exactly as good we are now.
2014 is going to be brutal?
Like we have any idea what any team on our future schedules will be like 7 years from now.

Uh, chances are good they aren't going to both suck.
-
Beamer will be retired and Tubberville will be long gone, so anything could happen.
No need to piss our pants seven years out.
-
Maybe V-Tech and Auburn will both pull a "k-state" and suck directly after being very very good.

Yeah, they aren't your typical "Machine" programs like Michigan and Notre Dame.
-
the NT game has been on our schedule for several months, not sure why he choose to do it but whatever.
anytime you have a chance to beat up on a staff made up almost entirely of high school coaches you take it

Hey, I like it too. I thought opening at Auburn this year was going to be brutal, but I still loved the scheduling philosophy behind it.

Fitzgerald set the North Texas single-game receiving record with 327 yards. He caught a career-high eight passes, including two touchdown passes. The 327 receiving yards is also the fourth-best single-game performance in NCAA Division I history.

I guess this is for Metroplex recruiting. But seriously, this is the kind of game you're set up to lose.

My guess is we signed a two for one contract with them. They come to Manhattan next year for the second time and then we'll go down there in 2010. D-1A mid major teams like that are getting to be more and more in demand. Everyone wants to play them so you've got to give some concessions to get them on the schedule.

We are going to be awesome in 2013!

i kind of thought recruiting too, but we play UT, A&M, Baylor, TT and if there's a game in Texas that's going to help recruiting I would think they'd be the ones.
seriously check out their staff's bios-

I would rather play a 1-AA than @ UNT. You're right, there isn't much recruiting advantage when we already play at least one game in Texas every year.
I knew they hired the Southlake Carrol guy, but I figured they'd get a bunch of college assistants to help him out. Not so much. Even better than the high school offensive and defensive coordinators is the coach that had been in private business for the last 9 year.
It seems like they know what they're doing offensively, though. Bennett is an awesome defensive mind!

Where did you mention UNT?

QFT. I don't necessarily mind Auburn games, but games away games to Marshall, UNT, Fresno offer the program nothing but an opportunity to fall flat on our faces, especially since they'll usually be sandwiched between games against Auburn type teams. Either play a top 25 team or a crap team at home, imo. But I can see where that may not be doable in college football.

I don't think they need to be top 25, but BCS should be a requirement for a road game, IMO. Like UCLA, or Purdue, or Ole Miss, or something.

This has to be SNYDERS fault!

I just hope we get really good at defending the spread offense. We should have lots of practice, playing Mizzou, OSU, TTU, Colorado, (ku?,) and Baylor, but who knows.
The spread can completely crush a team with 3x as much talent just because of the system.

Hahahaha, holy crap. You must be out of your mind. Are you actually pretending to know what the hell you are talking about here? "The spread can completely crush a team with 3x as much talent just because of the system" That's rich, guy. What a dolt. Typical KSU fan...always trying to dress up and play Husker. The only difference is they actually know football.
Good luck in your practice games against Mizzou, OSU, TTU, and ku...just don't be surprised if you manage to lose all 4 of those glorified practice "games".
