Wildcat Walk Moving to East Side Saturday
Courtesy: Kansas State University
Release: 09/12/2007
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State football team will move its Wildcat Walk for the Missouri State game to the east side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium in order to broaden the experience of the pre-game ritual for all K-State fans, head coach Ron Prince has announced.
The Wildcat Walk has been conducted on the west side of the stadium and the move will allow tailgaters on the east side, including the large student contingent, to take part in the activity.
K-State players and coaches will arrive at the stadium at approximately 3:50 p.m. at Gate 8 on Kimball Avenue. The team will then make its way to the stadium through the parking lot on foot, eventually entering the facility through the student gates between Gates T and V on the east concourse.
The program is encouraging fans to participate in the Wildcat Walk throughout the season by lining a path to the stadium and greeting the players as they arrive on game day.

I'm on the East side and haven't made the trek over to see it, but if it wasn't for band geeks, would these walks be heavily attended?
-
I'm a Wildcat Walk coordinator and would like to believe that all true powercat football fans attend these. If you're out boozin' in the parking lot with your buddies why aren't you cheering for the cats?
-
I'm not a true fan. If we have another losing season, I'm quitting the cats and cheering for OU.
-
I'm a Wildcat Walk coordinator
what is there to coordinate? ok guys, one foot in front of other....... now....... go.
-
I have gone to the Walk since Prince brought it back last year. And on Saturday I will go over to the East side. *Sucks since I park on West side but, hey - love my cats and I will do whatever Prince tells me too

Great move by Mr. Ron.
Not that he doesn't have enough to worry about, he takes the time to plan moves like this too!
I will say, me and the other Wildcat Walk coordinators have been sent into a scramble trying to get ready for this, but don't worry, we'll be prepared for the East Side!

it's like that Pete and Repeat joke, but not, b/c the joke is actually semi-funny. and it's funny you question my loyalty to KSU. then you can take your time to go look through the Mangino threads and see if you see my name in one of them. silly freshman :jerkoff:

approximately 3:50 p.m. at Gate 8 on Kimball Avenue.
Going through the grass would be bold and daring.
-
He is scary smart....the real reason for the change is that they'll now be in the shade for most of the walk....look for this change to stick.

LOL at Ron "taking the time to plan" this. Then it was his ridiculous idea to put this thing on the West side to begin with? Oh Ron, you try so hard don't you...bless his heart.
As for you Piss Clams...you just lost your street cred. You'll have to really battle to shake the "band geeK" label now.

Does anyone hate another person as much as Pete hates Prince?

Do you get special bonus pay from your job as a furniture sales guy to do this or is this STRICTLY a powercat love thing?
-
Love of the team MJ. I wouldn't dare ask for any compensation other than the pride I feel when helping out our team.

God Bless You.
PS: What kind of deals can I get on a lazyboy?

Not so much hate, but I never did get my free gift from MJ for being in the first 100 for premium. :crybaby:

I'm guessing that offer's still good?

Maybe KSU can establish "Rubiconville" in the parking lot.

You'll get it very soon.

Maybe KSU can establish "Rubiconville" in the parking lot.
but it will only be a creek with no water in it because we don't have the budget for the Rubicon.
-
... I will do whatever Prince tells me too
Prince says send dmartin 20 bucks.
-
I wanted to stop back by this thread and get any feedback from those of you who attended KSU's first ever East Side Wildcat Walk, but first off, Thanks for the support last week! You could tell our players were very pumped up during the walk and your support of the walk helped them focus on their task at hand.
A couple of questions- Would you consider attending a Wildcat Walk held on the North Side of Vanier? What about a Wildcat Walk in the "Bram" on the South Side of the stadium? Anyone be interested in setting up Wildcat Walks at our ancillary watch locations? MJ in Arizona? Saul in Topeka? Kougs in Olathe? Rusty in Hyde Park?
Thanks for the feedback and GO CATS!
-
Go ahead and set one up when the Cats play in Lincoln. East side of the stadium right through the sh**ty campus.
-
I think a Wildcat Walk® from Rusty's house to Mr. Pissclams' house that traversed through the beatiful Country Club Plaza would be a splendid idea.
Maybe an open practice at Westport High School?

BLASPHEMY  Although to be fair, I would root for OU over any north division school, especially the (cl)uckers down the highway.
