Most likely the ku-KSU game March 1st.
-
Pretty sweet. KSU becomes the only big 12 north school to have gameday do a football and basketball game.

Last time they did it at Allen it was pathetic. They piled about 75 people into a tiny corridor inside the front doors. Looked ridiculous.

Pete, you could not be more wrong.

Hopefully this year those idiots in AFH will have figured out how to spell "College" - the picture of JuJu gives me nightmares... :ohno: :ohno:

Looks a little pale in AFH....
ku is a lot more diverse than K-State. It's not even close.

By diverse to you mean more gay? Our color wheel's are about the same.

Look closely at the picture dumbass. The first L is slightly hidden behind the second L in the word college.

I like how the "E" on college is backwards. WOW. Everytime i see gayU students doing ANYTHING it cracks me up. What a bunch of dumb pieces of crap
-
It really is sad how &@#%ing loserish all the people in that pic look. Terrible representation of the school and state.

Hmmm. 'ANYTHING', huh? Does it also crack you up when the gayU students celebrate winning Big 12 titles? Or has that become so monotonous that it's kind of lost it's appeal after a while?
(What's the old joke - He's so dumb he couldn't spell 'cat' if you spotted him the 'c' and the 't'. So does anyone else note a certain irony seeing the above quoted statement coming from 'PowerKAT'?)

You think? Hey, maybe they should show up all dressed in black. I heard that really looks cool on national TV.

Personally, I thought the blackout was pretty cool. I was impressed with K-State fans and the overall atmosphere in Bramlage that night. It's just unfortunate that the ku game is the only game K-State fans get that excited for.

Well is if you lost that many year in a row to your rivals, you would get pumped when they came in to try and beat them. Too bad ku does not have recent history with one of their sports teams as a reference.

The main difference is that ku has gotten over the hump and actually beaten Nebraska and K-State at home over the last couple of years. K-State is still trying to break that ridiculous streak in Manhattan.

Missouri was pretty wicked last year.

Honest question. Lets say you guys get swept yet again by ku this year. Do any of you think that KSU can beat ku after this season in the next, lets say, 10 years? Are you guys putting all of your eggs in this team's basket?

There is always a chance.

"This team" could jump start our program. "This team" could be what gets KSU hoops back in gear. Remember, we are crawling out of a VERY deep hole dug by ONE former coach - Tom Asbury. KSU hoops from the beginning through Kruger was very solid. Then Asbury, and a coach incapable of providing the spark needed to correct the situation - Wooly. Huggins and staff cranked this thing back around last season and put together a dream recruiting class for this season. Frank Martin has the table set very nicely fof this year, and if he can recruit some nice players for the next class I think we are in very good shape.
I think it's funny when you ku fans try to tell us that we will simply return to Asbury-esque suckage after this season. You need to realize that this could be the first step in the return to national relevance for Wildcat basketball. It could be a return to what KSU hoops has been historically - a very good program. I think that our AD sees the writing on the wall in terms of department revenue. Due to the prohibitive economics of keeping up with the traditional powers in big time college football, we may need to rethink our game plan. We need to have good basketball again. We can compete economically in basketball with or without good football. We are in the process of improving basketball facilities in order to sustain success in that sport. I'm not saying that football is going down the tubes, but it's a different situation now than it was in the mid-90's. Regular bowl appearances and Big 12 North title runs will be enough to keep the football fans happy. If we can couple that with NCAA tournaments and Big 12 title runs in hoops, I think that's a recipe for real success relative to our unique situation.

Missouri was pretty wicked last year.
It was louder at the Missouri game than it was the ku game. The Missouri game had the die-hards who risked driving in the "bad weather" that night.

Looking at ku's recruiting, is there any reason why we can't? This year our talent level goes up to give us a chance. At this point, I think the talent for both teams will take a hit for a season or two after this. I'm not saying KSU is going to field a better team than ku consistently in the future or win a majority of the head to head games, but I think KSU will definitely win more often.

So you are saying that KSU fans have to rely on a fluke win every 12 years when the win is because the better team overlooked KSU to talk sh*t about basketball to ku fans? Hilarious.
