Arguably the #1 player in the country reduced his list of schools to 16 on ESPNU during a nationally televised game last Friday. Arthur Brown’s list of schools may seem like it is still hefty, but there are only six more schools to be cut in this process until he makes his announcement of his one school on December 17, 2007. “This decision is extremely important and I feel like every player should take his time and analyze their decision”, stated Arthur. Obviously Arthur is as intelligent off the field, as he is aggressive on the field. Arthur is looking at this decision from a non-emotional perspective; he is using prayer just as much as he is evaluating the fit for him on a college campus. Arthur gives Potential Players.com insight on why he chose the 16 schools. Here is the breakdown.
Alabama- A college town with a great atmosphere and beautiful facilities. The academic staff, strength coach and coaching staff were all great.
Auburn- Strong tradition, has a history of great defense in the SEC and is a college town.
University of Cal(Berkeley)- Diverse student body, strong academic school, college town.
Florida- College town, National Champs, coaching staff fit, SEC, surrounded by great players.
Georgia- Head coach has great character and seems like a spiritual leader. Athens is a college town, with a beautiful campus and facilities.
Georgia Tech- Atlanta, defensive scheme fit, personally fit with defensive coach.
Kansas State- In state, up and coming football, college town, friends on the team, staff recruits me hard.
Louisville- Don’t know as much about this school as others, good fit with the position coach, recent success, heard good things about the city and school.
LSU- Talented players, great defense in the SEC, good personality fit with position coach.
Miami- Great tradition, diverse city, diverse coaching staff, good personality fit with position coach, defensive scheme, great recruiting class.
Nebraska- Great facilities, close to home, like the coaching staff, getting back to being great.
North Carolina- Diverse coaching staff, location of campus, diverse student body, personality fit with coaches, good recruiters.
OU- Talented players, close to home, good facilities, like the coaching staff, great tradition, great recruiting class.
Rutgers- Great coaching staff, talented players, geography of campus.
UCLA- Diverse city, diverse coaching staff, great recruiting class, up and coming football school.
USC-Great tradition, great players, great coaching staff, defensive scheme fit, diverse city.
Arthur Brown Jr. will reduce his list and announce his official visits on September 17th. This will be covered exclusively on potentialplayers.com.

I pray he comes to K-State. Does that count??
-
I try to pray daily, and God told me he is in the bag.
Seriously, I think we have a prayer.
-
I like how he said we were up and coming.
-
There is no way in hell we're getting him. Accept it.

"college town" made me LOL a little. in one instance "college town" is a good thing (KSU et all) and in another "diverse city" is a good thing (Miami, UCLA) and finally "geography of campus" makes an appearance in the case of Rutgers.
-
I bet we stay on his list as it trims, but in the end it comes down to OU, USC, and Florida.
-
geography of campus
tuff to compete with this.
:'(

Of the Schools he lists "Close to Home"
NU- 278.48 miles 4 1/2 Hours
OU- 177.92 about 3 hours
Although he doesn't list us a 'close to home'- 130 miles 2 hours
Do you really think being close to home will be a factor??
-
this guy is a douche bag. sadly, he is the real deal and will be a douche bag till the day he dies because he can play football.
I mean really, who comes out with an official top 16 list?
-
His list for OU just solidified the fact for me that he's theirs. That OU list has all that he is looking for, including a great recruiting class. (Great for AB = all 4/5*'s.) :crybaby:

I mean really what kind of person follows around 16 and 17 year olds treating them like Greek Gods?
Football fans you dolt. Nobody cared about Paul Krugman's "top 16" or William Jefferson Clinton's "top 16." Its all truly shocking, shocking.

I saw him at the YMCA yesterday. I should have talked to him, we haven't spoken in about a year.
-
Next time you see him you should try to hypnotize him. You know the reason why.

I think you're right...possible that Nebraska or you guys could make the final 6-8, but doubt he ends up either place. My money is still on Oklahama.
-
reasons Brown eliminated Kansas - hoxx, BMW, and Mancer.
-
Just some info i have heard my uncle coaches for NW and helps put on roofs on houses with the East coach and he was talking to the east coach and the east coach said he is just waiting it out but eventually he will go to OU then his whole family is going to move down to Norman and his bro Bryce will be down there playing in Oklahoma not Kansas next season.

Why must you crush me??

I really don't get the point of these posts in EVERY SINGLE Brown thread.

East vs. DC replay is on ESPNU right now. Pretty sure Brown gives his top 16 in person after the game. Could check out his body language/enthusiasm for each pick.
:hope:
