shorter Deon Murphy?  Does he return kicks or just a WR?

I would imagine he returns kicks.  It appears he's got more quicks than A. Lockett and gotta be a burner to win Nike outdoor nationals 100.

Is it just me or did Aaron Lockett seem to get worse every year he was at K-State.

It's just you. His role increased in importance and defenses started keying in on him moreso each year.

He got worse after the Polamalu cheap shot.

5'8" 160lbs, sounds like an outstanding quarterback prospect

He's like a foot shorter than our QB.

Prince wasn't lying when he said he wanted to build his team out of pure speed.

Brandon & Deon next year. :ksu:

Having Brandon Clark on the other side made a huge difference.  McDonald, then Morgan, were obviously drawing a lot more attention than Brandon Clark.  Plus, that was the year of Soph Roberson and Marc Dunn constantly rotating under center...as opposed to Bishop and Beasley at the prime of their careers.

He isn't the primary kick returner.  I have a friend that teaches at the school who told me some kid committed to a school out west is the true #1 WR and returner.  Teams have focused on that kid since he came into the season with a bunch of press exposure and Banks has taken advantage of defenses not respecting his speed.  I guess Banks and this kid are both fast as hell.  Banks has had a problem holding onto the ball and has been scared of getting hit so gator arms some balls.  But he is fine if he is running a post route.  KState has been on him for a long time.

I would be remissed if I didn't say GO 'GADES!

Its not you at all. Few players get the amount of hatred that lockett has from me. More coverage etc doesnt mean he has to drop balls when he is wide open (see '00 OU game).
He is #2 on my all time hated list (#1 unanimous is Tetuan...the reason Snyder is no longer)

Banks put up 137 yards receiving and 2 TD's on #1 El Camino this past weekend.  El Camino is loaded w/ high level D1 prospects.

Also put up over 220 yards receiving in 1st week.

Lockett was not a primary reciever he was great in the slot with Q or Darnell on the other side.  He was always a good returner though.

it's ridiculous watching some of these guys who have the elite speed.  They just glide by people when given space.

Unfortunately ElCo is not loaded with high level D1 prospects in the secondary so you can't take much from it.  Also, some stud d end didn't play and I guess he is the guy that makes them go on defense.

Here is the box score my friend sent me.

Snipes is the 'Gades top receiver and got a corner with safety over the top help the whole game.  Banks was matched up with a safety or nickel back almost the entire day and he just blew by them.  He sounds like a real weapon in the right situations.

My friend also has taught a class that Banks was in and said he was a nice kid.  My friend is a crotchety old coot so that is a large compliment.

Snipes is a soft verbal to the Rainbows. Maybe Franklin can get him to switch and we can get another Bakersfield Duo. The last one worked out so well.
