Antwon Moore's season, thought by many to be a breakout one for the Kansas State junior linebacker, is over.
Coach Ron Prince said today Moore's left leg injury suffered in Saturday's 34-14 win over San Jose State may require surgery.
Moore's left leg buckled awkwardly under the weight of Spartan quarterback Adam Tafralis after a first-quarter sack. Moore was helped off the field and did not return from the locker room after halftime.
In two games, Moore collected five tackles and two sacks.

Since he didn't compete in more than 2 games, he's eligible for a hardship waiver for this year, right?

It's 20% of the season. And yes, he qualifies.
-
It's 2 games or 20% of the season - whichever is greater. In Moore's case, it's 2 games.
The injury or illness occurs when the student-athlete has not participated in more than two contests or dates of competition (whichever is applicable to that sport) or 20 percent (whichever number is
greater) of the institution’s completed contests or dates of competition in his or her sport. (http://www.ncaa.org/library/membership/division_i_manual/2000-01/article_14.pdf)

Work with me. When you foul up the eligibility requirements, your only choice is to chase it.
