Post by: Fedor on September 05, 2007, 08:23:04 PM

If you have a friend or a friend of a friend in the marching band, they could get you a copy too.  Maybe not legally, but you didn't specify.

1.  No it is not the flute, those are for fags or chicks.
2.  I am not paying any money.
3.  I don't know anyone past or present who is in or was in the band.
4.  I would prefer illegal actually, I have an image to protect.

Nah, I don't think you can play more than one note on a Digeridoo.
I can only play nine, but remember "Cool as hell".

What part of "Cool as hell" did you not understand?  There is nothing cool about the recorder, in fact I didn't want to be the one to break this to you... You still have the stink of retard on you from third grade when you were rocking out with that big black phallic recorder.

Any true musician would simply listen to it played by the Pride of Wildcat Land one time and then play it by ear.

Ok, Ok, yes it is the bagpipes.  (nice job piss)  I never claimed to be a true musician, though.  I am mainly involved because there is a huge beer swilling element associated w/ it.  That and all the pick up lines you can throw down when chicks start asking about the kilt.

holy frack.  sorry to give away your secret but if there's one instrument that you can say is cool and not say another word as to what it is, it's the bag pipes.

when you figure out how to play it, you should walk alongside the team playing it through the parking lot pregame march.

Or simply walk around the parking lots painted purple and in nothing but a purple kilt with a cup for tips. I'll give you my life savings (about 5 bucks) if you can do this by the ku game.  :ksu:

Don't worry about it piss.  It is just that, I don't know if you know this but, this board kind of has a reputation for being a little sarcastic and srsly busting balls.  Anyway, now that I've been outed and you guys seem to think it's a worthy plan, any ideas for getting the sheet music?    There has to be some former or current band members on here, lets go give it up.

The recorder is bad @$$ though, and i think ill try to learn the fight song on it. Maybe we can get together and start a band. (Actually my recorder was black with white tips) our band could also use a  :violin:

Here's a midi file to Wildcat Victory.
Wildcat Victory midi file (http://www.found.ksu.edu/telefund/fightsong.mid)

Here's software that can be used to transcribe midi files to sheet music notation (this is just an example; do a search to find similar software).

Midi Notation ( Convert MIDI and Karoke files to music notation )  (http://www.audioutilities.com/midi-notation/midi-music-notation.htm)

I used software like this to figure out a couple of songs for fun:

ksdb's Alma Mater (http://www.americandebtsales.com/music/ksdb.ksu_alma_mater.mp3)

ksdb's Stand Up (for the Champions) - cheesy, I know (http://www.americandebtsales.com/music/ksdb.stand_up.mp3)
