Title: AP Poll
Post by: catsfan20012002 on September 04, 2007, 04:21:05 PM
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankingsindex

So we go to the #17 team in the country's house and lose by 10 points (when they get a cheap score late) and don't get any votes (not that I'm surprised that we didn't) but ku beats an overrated Central Michigan team by 45 and they've got a vote?????

I'll give $1,000,000 to ANYBODY who can tell me how this makes sense!!!!!

ku 1-0
KSU 0-1

Let's start with that and move on to the more advanced stuff.  BTW, where's my money?  (I want my money).

Good point.  You didn't ask about Florida Atlantic though.  ku 1-0, KSU 0-1.  Get it yet?  You shouldn't get awarded votes for a moral victory.  If you were a fan of K-State football before 20012002 you'd know that.

I just think its funny. ku and their whole fanbase think they are world beaters now and probably will through their whole non-con schedule.  Then they will all be brought back to reality with a bottom half B12 North finish.

ku will get 6-7 just because of their soft schedule.  You have no running back w/o Cornholioish and You really didn't recruit any stars.  Your team will suck this year.

Your running back weighed 15 lbs more than one of their defensive ends. Their defensive tackle weighed only 250! Of course you guys are going to dominate the line when they are so undersized. LOL of the year.

I see 5 losses on Auburn's schedule, and 6 if they lose to South Florida this weekend.

ku's already ranked 34th, while Auburn's 17th.  I don't think they'll finish the season in the top 25.  I realize that K-State fans think Auburn's going to be BCS National Champs, but I wasn't that impressed and thought K-State should have won the game.

LOL @ being so new to football that you think you're ranked 34th because you got a single vote. Just an fyi...Duke started the year off with a vote as well. And there's came from what I'm sure is a more knowledgeable person than the one that gave ku a vote.

This thread is great!  BMW, take a look at Auburn's schedule, then take a look at ku's schedule.  You seem to think that if ku wins more games than Auburn they will automatically finish higher in the rankings.  You guys play NOBODY in the noncon and don't leave home until coming to Manhattan in October.  Any BSC conference school would be expected to go 4-0 with your noncon schedule.  It's not going to get you anywhere unless you follow it up with a great conference record.  With the exception of Baylor and Iowa St, I don't see any games where ku will be favored to win.  I think ku would need to far exceed their expectations and Auburn would need to fall flat in order for ku to finish higher.

Waiter, I will take a POUND of whatever Beemer is smoking! WOW, I thought my perception was skewed because of my purple colored lenses. No, nobody in their right mind thinks that AU is going to win the NC, but I believe our game will be a wake-up call for them.

In regards to ku being ranked?

Sorry, I had to pick myself up off the floor - ARE YOU KIDDING? You had a better team last year and you SUCKED! Sure you won your superbowl against our team with our first year HC, but if you gave me the option of beating the #4 ranked team in the country OR ku, that isn't a very hard choice. WOW, delusions run DEEP in Squak-Nation.
